Thread: Anyone running a Master Smuggler/MBH template?

I'm currently using the MBH/MSmuggler template. However, it comes with 2 very hefty flaws:

Accuracy
BH and Smuggler alone don't give as high an accuracy as a BH/elite combat prof does. It means you miss more regularly than most other templates and makes jedi hunting pretty hard.

Defense
Smuggler has, lets face it, no defense. This means your defenses are gained almost solely from BH.. and that doesn't put you in a very good position. With a pistol equiped, my ranged defense is a whole (wait for the gasp) 190. That, my friends, makes me an easy kill. However, BH does come with a handy move in the form of "Duelist Stance" which for 25 seconds adds an extra 160 to both your ranged and melee defense, putting my ranged diffence with a pistol equiped at a gob smacking 355. However, when compared to MBH/MCarbs template who's ranged defense with Duelist Stance reachs over 435, you can see we are still being outclassed.

Its a fun template but don't expect to be "pwnage" on your own.

I like MSmug/MBH because I get to stay a smuggler and MBH gives me a nice overall range of skills when it comes to ranged combat. If I was to focus on Pistol/Carbine/Rifle I would be stuck with one set of skills (I would pick pistols and be stuck at 35m or so) but with MBH I can use a decent assortment of weapons depending on my situation, which befits a smuggler who needs to be ready for anything

Now, obvisouly, a MBH/(insert master prof here) would kill me with some effort, I did not pick up BH for PvP. I do however use my BH skills to keep the Jedi in my guild in check and help train them in some of the ways that BH's will track them down.

Overall, MSmug/MBH is a good combo for a support role, but may be too weak for some hardcore players/PvPers. For me tho, its just right.

I respec'd to MBH/MSmuggler for a while, then I figured out that I just liked my old temp too much and went back to my pre CU template. Well most of it anyway

Once you've gone TKM you don't go back

TKM's do it better with their hands than any of you can with your big ole guns

(let the puns fly)

Reminds me of an old Army joke. As my Drill Sergeant always said, "This is my rifle, this is my gun, this is for shooting and this is for fun."

Is this the same Army where one instruction booklet reads as follows:

If an attack is going according to plan thenyou are in an ambush.

or

If you see a demolitions technician running, try to keep up.

or

Tracers work both ways........

Same one. Also in the Demolitions section it also reads "The difference between a Mechcanical engineer and a Civil engineer are that a Mechanical engineer builds weapons and a Civil engineer builds targets."

Great weekend reading material

The only thing I miss about the service after being discharged are all the great jokes that no one else gets outside of the military

I just got advanced aim, aka a three to five shot 250 acc boost, depends on the speed of the special. Whew, all I have to say is rifles 4xx4 goes well with any ranged template. Of course if rifle isn't your prime weapon just do 4xx3 as the fourth box in the fourth line is plus 10 rifle speed. The third box in the fourth line is adv aim.
