Still I wonder... once we open up that 2nd slot, can we drop the FS stuff on the main character withpout losing the 2nd slot again? If not, would it help to make the 2nd character FS before deleting FS on the main character?
Furthermore, is there some kind of "chain-opening"? Like you make the 2nd charakter FS and you get a 3rd slot and so on?
Yeah, it might be cheating, but we are Smugglers after all, right?

As another MS/MBH - I might've done that, except that MS/MBH leaves only 23 points free, and Jedi Padawan requires 24 points worth of FS skills. What's more, you can't drop those FS requirements and keep Padawan, and you can't keep the second slot without keeping Padawan. So your path will require dropping one of your master boxes.

I'm doin' it for that reason too. Not to mention it'll fill out my Master BH/Master Smugler template pretty well.

Sometimes it seems like being a Jedi is like being someone who buys a "Special Edition Collector's Plate" from the Home Shopping Network. Yes, you feel like it's pretty special....until you realize your plate is only one of a gazillion 'special' plates that were made for HSN. takes the wind out of your sails a little....but it's still a really cool plate!

The jedi community, if you even want to call it that, is fragmented. Because jedi are 'uber' it draws a lot of the wrong types. Power gamers and leet pvpers. I don't think this is a jedi issue.
I think it's an issue with the type of people jedi attracts. There's so much bitterness and elitism there it makes one sick. So much trying to gain the advantage instead of using what ya got. It's disguisting. And they all want to be the best but don't want to give up anything to do it. The animosity between the jedi sects is so.. harsh.
Smugglers have never been uber. Even with the CU, and us gaining a lot of power, we're not the profession to be. We cost too much sp wise and give too little mechanical benifit. Because of this, all the power gamers stay away. Leaves us with much better people.

0 Boxes "earned"
Over 1 million Pistol XP, over 300k Combat XP (no clue how much, just know more than 300k). Over 100k or so assorted FS XP.
I'm waiting for 1) Luck to actually *mean* something, 2) Luck to become accessable without regrinding Smuggler or Pistoleer after having to become a Medic or whatever it needs. Stupid Luck.
Of course, neither will ever happen and I'll eventually end up blowing my 3 SP on FS Defense boxes or something.
Hey here's an idea... HOW ABOUT THE DEVS GIVE SMUGGLERS A CHANCE AT THE SMUGGLER-ISH FS SKILLS???
You know, scam, spice or sliceyour way to Luck, Persuasion, or Vehicle Controll?

Alt points:
1) You get the free alt once you attain Padawan
2) The free alt is tied to the Padawan box. You can't drop the box without losing the alt
3) You *must* have at least 6 full fs skill trees if you have padawan status
Other jedi perks aside from the alt:
1) +20 inate jedi armor - fs skills cost only 4 sp more than for us to get novice tka
2) ability to be hunted - y'all want that right?
3) can appraise crystals so jedi can't screw you over when you're selling them
4) dorky pajamas - some people like 'em... I wear my duster
5) can craft your own flashlight to help travel the dark planets
6) ability to say "I'm a jedi and LD is not uber so shut the hell up!"
