The fact is that is a question they won't even answer. It's been nerfed, and no one wants to say why or even to speak about it.
From what both Caylin and WesBelden say, they can't see a reason why it's not told to us, that would mean the nerf is documented, and so it may be volontary.

The trouble is not really about the downer in itself, it's been a long time since i last sold a single spice, but it's about the fact devs ignore purely and simply the question we've been asking since 6 or more months on this particular issue.
