I've never been hit with this bad boy, but I have a quick question.

For smugglers, is this considered a heavy offensive attack that is your big climax, i.e. icing on the cake...or is it truly a last ditch effort to survive and escape?

If it is a last ditch effort (as the name suggests) would it be appropriate to have a long cooldown on all moves after using it (like not being able to attack for 10 seconds)

Do you guys hate to use it, or ache to use it?

A bit of both ive used it in pvp in a friendly duel and shocked the guy i was dueling with, he thought he had me on the ropes and my health was really so i hit last ditch and he fell over incapped this is the only time it has ever worked for me despite using it many times.

If i use last ditch its because i have to its not a tactic i would force myself to use or allow someone to beat me down so i can use it effectively i will use it if i have no other choice and even then from my experience it rarely works.

I have to agree here. I treat LD as just that, a last ditch. If I'm even considering using it, its because I did something wrong. I never want to be in the position when I am forced to use LD. And cooldown enough is that once you do it, it drops your health to like 10 points. If you dont drop your opponent, he will definitly drop you. And even if you do, chances are his buddy will finish you off.

If you kill a creature with last ditch when you are low life you are left with low mind health and action. You are a sitting duck. The move truly is a "Last Ditch" and only does so called "uber" damage when you are very low health, and as I say after that you are ALSO very low mind/action.

I have a question for you, and I ask this as politely as I can possibly do:

What does being a Jedi have to do with your question?

I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but I see no reason why we had to know you were a Jedi. Be proud of your accomplishment, absolutely. I would be too. But why did you have to tell us about this? Were you hoping that everyone would just jump on the thread and answer your question right away? Did you think that you'd get a better response than if you were not a Jedi? I could understand if your question related to you or Jedis, but it doesn't.

I apologize for the fact that you're getting the blunt end of my frustration, but I returned to the game a little over a week ago. In that time frame, 90% of the Jedi I've met have either been extreme show-offs, jerks, childish or snobs. I'm glowy myself at the moment, but because the only side I've seen of the Jedi community has been horrible, I do not want to become one myself.

If I missed something, I truly am sorry. But I just don't get it.

Nah, even I'll say Jedi get the brunt of this attack (especially with the BH/Smugglers out there...)

If you took a poll, I'd say the majority of Smugglers would either heal or run rather than use LD. I see myself in losing battles from time to time, and I can pretty much tell which way the battle is going to go from the start...If I KNOW Im gonna get wasted my plan is this...

Wear em down as much as possible, get keep my finger on my /ui action clearCombatQueue hotbar icon, and another on my LD icon.

I roleplay, about 90% of the time...and as a balls out Smuggler I'd rather take the chance of dying with LD than running away.

Actually it was meant to show that I am not a smuggler and was therefore seeking information that I cannot get firsthand. no worries though, it seems rude is par for the course here. you fit right in.

I think we could tell from your question that you're not a Smuggler .

And I apologize if you feel that I was rude. It was a genuine question but I'm sorry if I offended you.

lol I'm actually finding this quite amusing =) I know you guys see me as mr. snobby jedi, trying to spoil your party, but really I'm just a guy who was curious about some things I know nothing about. The stigma around the word jedi is pretty heavy, but thats your problem not mine (and by 'yours' I mean those who are not me, so not necessarily you mr. popcorn =)

the original question was not loaded or sinister or hiding nerfs behind its back
