I'd have to agree with Rogue_Eight in that my guild was most helpful when it came to getting locked containers.
Also as a master smuggler I try not to slice locked containers for people. I tell them to find a novice smuggler who would be happy to slice it for the xp. I feel if I slice a container for someone I'm denying someone going up the slicing tree that xp.

People really get 10k for these things? I have a few on my vendor for 2k that have not sold. Maybe I need to advertise more....
The bazaar and valarian swoopers were my friends when it came to getting locked containers. You can find a town like Mos Entha, take destroy missions and then take out the red npc's in town between mission runs.. you should scrounge up 4 or 5 containers in the time it takes to raise the money for the other 5 or so. Once you hit 2, it's easy going, since you can get crates of WUKs, weapons, and Mol clamps and knock out 3 and 4 in 300 slices.

heck when I'm beating up thugs for loot parts I find 4-5 locked containers per hour... they seem to have upped the drop in recent months. when I was novice smuggler I had been saving them up, and I had 12 before hitting novice but with no clamps it took me about2 weeks to get enough xp for slicing 1, and that's with people I knew from around town (before player cities) who would come to me every couple of days with containers, and me not having any clamps (Tempest was still a new server, I didnt see any masters back then)

I got stopped by someone yesterday and was asked to slice their containers. Usually I do them for 1K each or even FREE, but this guy said he had 20 he needed sliced.....I was a little short on time, so instead of just blowing him off, I told him 5K per slice..hehe Anyway, I got back the normal reply, "What?, everyone else does it for 2K..." and my reply was..."Then go find the guy that does it for 2K" His reply...."Jerk"
Now, name calling always makes me laugh.....so I commenced my 30 minute tour of nagging the S#%T out of this tool....heh O=) Finally, he stopped replying and realized I was crazy..heh.
So if any of you saw some guy named KAPAN shouting that JP is an EVIL JERK.....that was about ME.

Get all the tools (knives,clamps)and stand in front of the coronet starport saying you will slice any containers for free. (Also say that you need the xp, since most people want to help out). I did this and I couldnt keep slicing them fast enough. After about 20 minutes I was done.

If you have the cash buy it fo the Bazaar 2.000-6.000 pr container.

Today on Kaui there were 8 locked containers on the bazaar in Mos Eisley for 700 each...I bought 'em all up and sliced em hehe. Also, some guy gave me 6 containers free in Coronet starport.

Some tips. While shouting for containers, grind spices.
Once you get to terminals, slice the terminals (without clamps). If you succeede do the mission (xp, fp, and some nice income padding). If not, shout for containers and grind spice for the next two minutes.

i keep seeing about slicing the terminals what terminals are these? as i just started smuggler at the wkend i am new to slicing any help u can give will be much help thanx

what does this give u? i just thought u click on the terminal and get a mission from them what extra thing do u get when sliced?

If you slice it correctly it will give you 100 slicing xp. And it boosts the mission payout.

that sounds good so if i was to slice it does the rest of the group benifit from this?
