Thread: FYI new update on FD and corpse camping

I can understand them not being able to deal with the problem but this decision to say 'at your own risk' hits me wrong. The obvious body camping and griefing resulting in the use of feign death should never be acceptable. I know some of the developers understand this and it amazes me that this policy leaving us on our own came into existence.

On a side note, I think I might send the wife to store for stuff to make nachoes now... thanks a lot because now she's gonna be annoyed with me!

Dude, I need to get me one of those... the way I'm reading this is that if I get me nachos, I feed myself for a night, but if I get me a wife, I can have nachos for a lifetime?
Back to the topic, it's kinda funny, but on the GCW forums, folks are screaming that using FD in PvP *at all* is a greif. Of course, this is a trick used by jedi dabblers mostly, not by 'true' smugglers.
Honestly, I don't mind us using it and I don't mind the attacker punishing us for it. It's all the same to me.

I think sending the wife out for nachoes too much is also considered griefing, not sure if it would be in galaxies though.
The arguments that using FD in PvP is griefing are usually by the same small minded people that refuse to listen to or come up with their own alternatives to the current FD system. They're the same nerfherders that would rather see something removed from the game instead of fixed.
As far as getting blackbarred, I've got no problem with it, although it rarely happens to me. It usually just enrages the opponent more since they know that what they're doing can still be remedied. I do however think it's a bad route to take if they don't have a real fix for the situation other than to remove FD.

Well you knew they were going to say this atleast I knew. Jedi are useing it as an I win button, and any punishment dropped on them is fair since they greifed the BH first.
On a nicer note we will no longer be forced overt to players. Ergo we will be in far less battles we did not look for. Can you say this is a non issue anyway. If your walking around pvp enabled. You kind of have a black bar comeing.
I really don't care who griefs who first. The fact that the outlook automaticly goes to the way BHs and Jedi use the skill is part of the problem. If the system worked the way it should, then dabblers wouldn't use it so much and they would be as insignificant in the discussion as they should be.
Now we're to the point that they've given the go ahead for behavior once categorised as griefing because another profession exploited a Smuggler's skill. I care squat about what it means to them.

Well, not really a shock - if the choice is between:
a) Waking up from Nacho - nacho's /drool....Induced nap to start Enforcing/Discipliningincidents or
b) Doing jack all nothing
Then human nature being what it is, "b" is the only obvious solution
Don't really have a problem with this per se - not entirely thrilledbecause it doesn't mention incidents that may "cross the line" into griefing but whatever. At least if playersknow the rules they know what they can/can't do and what they can/can't complain about.
Cheers

I tend to agree, I dont use FD to avoid a DB rather in tandum with FOW (a tka skill) this is a great trick because when you FD people think your just trying to avoidsaid DB but when you hit FOW and your stats jump back up thenyou jump back up and start swinging they usually run away which is really, really funny. At that point I pull my DE and drop them with a low blow shot, run up and beat them to death. It's a great trick, when pulled off it leaves people stunned. I recommend this combo to any smuggler thinking of adding TKA to his/her temp.
Great, now im craving nachos...

You've obviously been married longer than me... but that day is coming for me soon I fear.

If you send the wife out for nachos too much, you run the risk of getting your account suspended or even banned- if you know what I mean.
Of course, if I try to send my wife out for nachos, she'll just reply "get em your own damn self. And while you're out, you can get me some ice cream."
Guess who ends up running to the store?

Hehehe, both skills are earned in the same skill box, or perhaps just one skill box difference. So QUIT YER ARGUIN'!Ummmm who is arguin'??
