Thread: Question: If spices are revamped in the CU... and we will smuggle spices in the revamp...

I mostly see business dropping off dramatically between the CU(RB) and the revamp. I'm certainly not going to slice my fancy new weapons when the whole slicing concept is changing. I've already starting advising guildies not to spend a lot on weapons/armor/slices until later. That's not to say that I won't still happily take people's money if they want to give it to me.

Becareful! We know how sensitive the devs are to another other title than CU.

As always .. it will happen AFTER...... i wont say after what.... because that has to keep changing until they nerf us once or twice more.

It needs to happen at the same time as the CU.

If spices are getting rebalanced to actually be useful in the CU and there's a period after the CU where we can still craft them before the change that forces us to do missions to acquire them, that's going to mess up the economy.

Similar things would happen with slicing.

Also, since the Spices tree is obviously going to be gone (and since hopefully your smuggling skill would be determined by the Underworld tree) the CU would be the perfect time to add a Melee tree to smuggler.

Didn't the announcement say they have to code it? Or at least gave that impression. They told us what the want to do and now have to put it down (or in) to code. They've been working on the CU for a bit longer so I'm sure it will be a bit after that. Though maybe just a matter of a couple months. Who knows really?

As long as we retain the ability to understand lekku the rest can go...until our revamp. There is nothing in our tree, other than understanding lekku, that I value more than last week's dinner leftovers.

combat upgrade/rebalance = CURB

I say, let the man call it what he wants

I like CURB and I'm going to keep calling it that, just for spite.

That's how to do it!

Well, it's all relative (I think in publishes rather than minutes...at least for SWG development ), but they seem commited to getting this to us (while details may change; see Tiggs' disclaimer), so short of something drastic needing to be done elsewhere, I think soon is an apt description.

On the other hand, it is going against a big community managementguide line (from thefolks at theIGDA)that says "Don't say soon!"... but then I'm nota community managemer, I'm a correspondent .

According to Dictionary.com

soon
adv. soon·er, soon·est

  1. In the near future; shortly.

  2. Without hesitation; promptly: came as soon as possible.

  3. Before the usual or appointed time; early.

  4. With willingness; readily: I'd as soon leave right now.

  5. Obsolete. Immediately.

I'm going with #2, that seems to be sooner than the others.

They are talking about killing off the ability to craft spices.

Actually it's not the Smuggling "Tree" it's the Smuggling Onion.

and It's Combat/Upgrade/Revamp/Balance

Wow, I've been playing for well over a year, and not once before this have I ever heard of a profession skill set referred to as an onion, and I cruise the boards everyday.
