Thread: Slicing Armor has ruined my 60 mill set
2. If I ever bothered to spend 60 million on armor (modded bh or something?) I would probably do some research.
3. SOE doesnt really care what happens to your 60 million, doing anything like shutting off slicing would be admitting they screwed up. Not something they like to do.
4. The fact that slicing is messed up seems to be common knowledge, I haven't sliced since 1 week after the CU, and since day 1 everyone I sliced for knew full well it was borked. Even a jedi who had me slicing stuff for his alt knew. It's not like this information was a secret.
5. Complaining about it on the Smuggler forums won't get you anywhere. The Devs don't read this forum, and we can't give you your 60 million back.
"I think you're right, so why doesn't SOE lock slicing until a fix has been put in place for the less well informed, it will save people so much trouble?"
Not only will they not reset your stuff, but I bet if you submit a ticket, they will cut and paste an ignorant response which has nothing to do with your problem, proving they dont bother even reading their "support" emails past the first sentence.
It is a perverse thing that i find myself laughing about this, but there is something humorous about 60 million credit armor being geeked because of SOE and their nefarious ways.
Dont be surprised when they nerf our root and give us nothingin terms of CC to replace it.As smugglers we really should expect the worst, given our history.

Then 30 mins later I noticed I had hinderance and my movement slowed. I checked my armor and now it actually hinders me by +2.5 per piece, its ruined completely, I can hardly move when I wear it.

You attached tapes BEFORE the slice. Just like an ADK, or any other add on, like one of those quest reward PUPs. Everything should be put on AFTER the slice, so you don't lose anything if the slice goes south.
Just advice. That's something that's not as common of knowledge.
rate of fire
movement
accuracy
let's say you have two professions with the same armor type mitigations, like you have.
If they both have 40% rate of fire mitigation, your mitigation will be 40%
If one has 40%, and one as 30%, your mitigation will be 40%
It takes the highest from each category, but they do not stack.

The golden rule seems to be if the protection on a suit is 5/7 7/5 or 6/6 slicing any higher will increase the hinderance over your mitigation. If you want to be an invincible tinman, you are going to move like an invincible tinman.
you probably will see an increase in numbers on your suit eventually. but it takes longer than a simple quick log off.
well isnt that just an Award winning Statment ....
We with Underworld I can understand Devspeak and a rare few can even speak it well enough to pass.
