The real smugglers are the one that smuggle girls into their dorm. Not everyone went to a school with co-ed dorms...

True Story from my college days...

I lived in the same dorm and room for 3 years. Kansas State was nice that way - once you were in a room, because you had seniority, you had dibs on that room for as long as you wanted it. I was 25 years old and since Kansas State wasn't a dry campus, I was allowed to have beer (only 3.2) in my room. Of course, sharing that beer with the underaged kids was forbidden, but it was kinda nice to torture them to pop the top on one of mine and watch them squirm with envy. And I also had a double room all to myself; cost me a little more money, but it was a lot better than having to room with an 18 year old kid (no offense to any 18 year old kids out there).

Anyway, one day I was cleaning the pit - as an architecture student, I didn't have a whole lot of free time so my room was the first thing to decend into chaos. I was between projects, so I had the time to try to climb out of the abyss. The rooms were concrete block, and against the wall that divided the hallway from the room was a built in set of closets, with a space for a dresser and a mirror.

I pulled down the mirror to wipe it off - and I saw this hole in the paneling that the mirror covered up. Further more, the closets were about 6" away from the wall, and the people who built these things in used 2x6" as nailers; one just happened to be under that opening. Apparently the previous occupant had cut the hole out and used to stash his "harder" booze behind there (and who knows what else). So from that point forward, I had a ready made smuggling compartment in my room that is probably still there to this day. I had developed quite the liquor cabinet before I ended up moving out.

I know how rude the people on Scylla are.

I'm pretty nice and I hang out with a group of great people. I couldn't bear to move Veela to a different server, but I have a couple toons elsewhere.

I'm glad to see you found a server that didn't treat you like crap...perhaps I'll check it out.

Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

My very first character is/was a smuggler on Scylla, though I haven't logged in as him for almost a year. I loved it there. I remembermeeting/stalking Bel (long since dearly departed) for her buffs. Every server has its losers, as in life. Scylla is as good as any other ofthem.

Bria used to have a TON of over-militant douches, especially in the Imperial guilds. Only on Bria could you get clone camped for 15-20 minutes and threatened to be reported for harassment when you told them (Imperials) to knock it off. Lucky for me, most of the jerks went to go play WoW. It is kinda nice on Bria now... the Imperials used to be real, real jerks. I won't tell you what I personally saw one of them do to a newbie girl they incapped.

I swear I used a Jedi mind trick on a cop when I was in college... either that or he just didn't care. Anyway, we were having problems with the people next door in the dorms, they just didn't like us lol. We had some people hanging out in our room one Saturday night, and right at midnight we got a knock on the door for a noise complaint. Knowing who it was that phoned it in, my roommate knocked on their door andcussed them out. Knowing where this will lead we ask everybody to leave, but these 2 chicks (one for him, one for me :smileyvery-happy.

So we're each doing our own thing and my roommate and his chick decide to go take a shower. The bathrooms in these rooms are shared, and of course we share ours with the pains next door. Sure enough, about 20 minutes later there's another knock at the door. Now they want to see our id's and everyone who's in the room. The one cop follows me in as I go to get the others. There's empty, half empty and damn near full bottles of all kinds of stuff in plain view. He says nothing. Then we're standing in the hallway, 4 of us all half naked, my roommate and his chick soaked from the shower. Here's the fun part. One cop starts spouting off all kinds of stuff while the other cop (the one who followed me in the room) starts cracking up. Much to the other officers protests, he tells us to keep it down and drags his partner away

Now either he was as effective as the crackdown patrols at scanning for contraband, or I'm FS.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Why contemplate your proffesion if you can't be a Smuggler who "smuggles" anyway. Whenever one of my friends tells me they have advanced another box in the Smuggler tree I tell them "Congratulations on a step closer to being a Smuggler who doesn't smuggle" I'm just waiting for the BIG re-vamp to happen, and am Very interested to see how SOE explains the sudden ability in Game related terms I imagine it'll go something like this... "After recovering from the 'Imperial Crackdown' Smugglers have suddenly remembered that they consider themselves out side of the law anyway so have once again started smuggling contrband and spices."
