Thread: Did Caylin leave again?
One thing he DID NOT mention was that Feign Death absolutely destroys the involvement of Jedi in bounty missions, as well as the intended Jedi visibility/risk system that is damn well a part of being a Jedi. I confronted the Jedi correspondent on the issue and publicly, as well as privately.
I will not tolerate a correspondent supporting issues that make a Jedi's life a cake walk. To put it plainly, I think the Jedi correspondent is a wimp. It is his job to pass on how Jedi feel, which tends to be on the whining side, but I'll be damned if he will make suggestions to neuter the BH profession and plunder smuggler for a game breaking, albeit poorly designed, skill.
I have said my fill of this fellow. I only hopes he bucks up to the bar.

Don't underestimate the power of the whine, Caylin, or suffer the Creature Handler's fate we will.
It is your destiny to face it and overcome it!
I swear some of the crap that even correspondents come up with (whining) really holds up cool stuff in this game. People complain about an actual Crackdown... or remember that correspondent who came in here like a year ago pushing for no real consequences for carrying contraband?
I can imagine the garbage you are picking through. Hopefully the devs don't listen to these candy asses.
Oh you mean when Gabe stopped by? yah... the same thing... different area and a few new people trading blows.

I still don't like him. From what I have seen on the CURB forum I have not been impressed.

Living in the Star Wars universe is cool. Living in a world loosely based on the lamer points of theStar Wars movies is not cool.
They will not accept the notion that maybe they shouldn't carry around illegal equipment as an option but rather argue the point we are forcing them to adapt their playstyle to ours.

Zane, the problem I'm having though in this discussion is they consider that implementing law and order by punishing those who possess illegal items is taking something away from their gameplay and a nerf to their way of life.

That's a true problem, if you bring in right now an illegality for sliced gear and spices, you nerf the whole player base, and they whine louder than us. What they don't see is that instead of everyone having top sliced gear and then dealing basicly 133 damage and preventing 80% of damage received, the new situation will be : everbody deals 100 damage and prevents 60% of damage received.
That's not a nerf, that's still in balance, those who want to get out of the balance can try, but they might face consequences for that, and true ones at that, not a mere fine.
Moreover it shouldn't be allowed to place sliced gear in a vendor, maybe that could prevent WS and AS to sell presliced items and allow a smuggler to buy weapons and make his true business himself. I guess that would alienate the crafters too against us, but well, you don't go in a shop and asked the vendor to give you illegal weapons, do you? That's not taking an ability away from them, they still can sell weapons, they have never been supposed to sell only sliced ones.
