Hehe...one of my favorite stories to tell is about the night I "overheard" two Twi'lek chickscyboring in the Lok cantina one night (I think I was wearing a Novice Scout tag at the time). It was highly entertaining, considering I suspected both of them of being controlled by a pair of unsuspecting teenage males.
What's really funny is, when I re-rolled Tristyn on Starsider, I actually went about a week with Basic as my only language. And it didn't even dawn on me until I was standing in line waiting for buffs one day and some Wookie ran by shouting some kind of spam, which came out as total gibberish on my screen. I just *shrugged*, got my buffs and headed back to Dath, where I was working on leveling Unarmed. Surprisingly, when I would ask people to train me, either in Unarmed or Pistols (I was working on getting to Novice Smuggler at the time), nobody offered to teach me the languages. After I got Novice Smuggler, I had enough Pistol XP banked to pick up UW 1...and all of my language problems were solved. Then, the next guy who trained me offered to teach me all the languages. I was like, "No thanks, I don't need them." And he kinda paused and said, "ok, whatever." I think I confused the poor guy.

Languages. I know it's not what you would think as one of our best assets as a profession. But last night two Twi'lek guild members were having a conversation using their Lekku to talk and no one else around knew what they were saying except meAnd honestly I don't think they realize I can understand them
So just one thing that I thought I'd point out that I like about being a smuggler...getting to easedrop on conversations when they don't realize you can
I being a Twi'lek. I'll head into a cantina and start speaking in lekku, then insulting humans (damn dirty humans) and Bothans (damn rats), and sometimes others... just because I can. I can do it all I want and only other Twi'leks and Smugglers (which there's usually few around) can understand me.
And being a Twi'lek Smuggler, it makes it all the better. ![]()

Yeah, I love being able to understand lekku...too bad it's the ONLY language we have any advantage with, all the rest are easily learned within the first 30 minutes of creating a new character.
Pretty funny when Twi'leks use it in the cantina. They don't know that I could understand what they were saying. It's not nice to make fun of other people.....
