Languages. I know it's not what you would think as one of our best assets as a profession. But last night two Twi'lek guild members were having a conversation using their Lekku to talk and no one else around knew what they were saying except me And honestly I don't think they realize I can understand them

So just one thing that I thought I'd point out that I like about being a smuggler...getting to easedrop on conversations when they don't realize you can

Ya its a fun skill. I just hanging in some random cantina the other day getting my wounds healed when I saw to twileks doing there thing. I butted into the conversation and they were surprised but it turned out to be some extra business. As one of the twileks had me open a locked container for her.

Yeah, I love being able to understand lekku...too bad it's the ONLY language we have any advantage with, all the rest are easily learned within the first 30 minutes of creating a new character.

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Two years of "Soon"(TM), a harsh bunch of lies.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie"

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Dancers can't smuggle and neither can I.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Why are there Jedi, I don't know why.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

More than anything I was looking for something to be happy about because someone in guild last night said that Droid Engineers needed some loving because she wanted a droideka or however you spell it. Yeah she got an earful...just kinda made me mad. But then I overheard that conversation and thought "Hey! We've got one thing that's kinda cool!!!" *giggle*

And I kinda like the ability to understand Jawa, but it's not as relevant to the other player base as Lekku is.

*grin*

It's too bad that understanding Jawas in this game isn't as fun as it was in Kotor. Dang those things talked fast. Had to love the Jawa grammar too "we of our kind are very thankful to you of your kind and wish that many many good things happen to you in the near and distant future" or some junk like that.

lol, "something like that"? nah man, u hit it dead on, thats exactly how they talked, made me laugh too.

I wish the twi's on my server actually spoke lekku from time to time. i think everyone except the wooks of course just sets their spoken language to basic. maybe i should start speaking iridonian, just to see if anyone notices

I love switching up languages then putting on my master weaponsmith title. Then going into a noob center. Eventually I will get a tell and I will reply, or someone comes up and asks me a question.

I have no clue what you are saying. Look I just want to buy something. Stop speaking gibberish. Wouldnt it be wonderful if some everyone could only learn to speak comprehend like three languages convos would be real interesting then.

Totally! That reminds me when I first started and I didn't know you could learn languages -- all of them that is, for free in 30 seconds! -- and I saw Wookies talking in unintelligible syllables and I was like, what the? --cool! Then I learned Shyriwook and ... well, kinda wish I hadn't. I know, i know you can unlearn languages. But I think your idea of three languages per is a good one.

lol...don't know why but I almost fell out of my chair laughing at that one.

The 3 languages thing sounds good to me as well...I thought it ridiculous that you can learn a language in a second or two.
