I'm with Caylin on this one...
Only time I've seen 11% as a Master is on armor effectiveness.
I've never seen anything below 15% on weapons...and if I did, not only would the slice be free, I'd /bug the hell out of it.

I do not know why this is nowreally tickingme off, but I read your link Caylin.
1). Where are Wayne's screenshots?
2). His results (which I do believe) prove randomness of slice. He says he never got a 35% base effective slice though the FAQ says 35% is the max on base effect. Can you confirm that 35% is not possible? Or is it possible that he just didn't get one because slices are random??
So I can conclude that: Although Wayne conducted a very in depth test, he never got a 35% base effective slice which also means he did not get other potential slices as well,...SUCH AS 11%
Yes yes..this is armor..but it does open up the possibility that he missed low slices at Master on weapons as well.
Why the heck am I even defending myself. I guess because I don't want to be considered a liar by others who read this thread.
Happy Festivus. Looks like we've done the airing of greivances....where's the feats of strength.

That will come by pushing forward. This is nothing against you, it's a
search for accurate data. I'm sure Wayne would have mentionedif he was
receiving outside the range he would have known. As for 35%, I have that #
developer confirmed as possible. He just didn't get lucky.

However missing an instance of a single # does not mean there are 5 or more
#s we are missing from the range. Many more people would have uncovered this and
been able to supply suitable evidence. If I haven't seen it in ten thousand
slices then I will admit I'm skeptical till I see harder proof.

I'm not calling you a liar, I'm asking for data to verify what you or
anyone else is with those results issaying so I can present it to the
developers and get it clarified/resolved. When Slicing 2 and 4 were flip-flopped
we had hard data to prove it and were able to see it resolved. We have no such
evidence in this situation.

I will state that after slicing over a thousand weapons and probubly 5 thousand armor pieces that the range on weapons is between 15-35%. I have only recieved 3-4 35% slices out of that thousand or so, so the chances of a perfect slice are very rare, plenty of 34's but almost no 35's. I will say that I have seen a 14% on weapon slice before however. I recall cursing quite violently into my mic for all my teamspeak guildies to hear.... I wish now I had SS'd it, I just assumed it was something that happened sometimes. I'll be slicing another 400 VK's soon for Black Sun Armory, if I happen to run across another like that I'll SS it.

I'll remind you that armor slices are not weapon
slices. 11% on a piece of armor is entirely normal and is not outside the
normal.

- One of my favorite posts with over 1388 weapon slices logged at master
smuggler. All range from 15% to 35%.

Inthis thread, we have someone claiming an 8%
slice as a master on a vibroknuckler. If in over 1,388 slices in that post and
over 10,000 slices in personal experience don't convince someone that numbers
outside the 15-35%range are incorrect then there is nothing to be done. I
will never understand why people try to present false data or so grossly
exaggerate the situation.
