If you're starting from 0, you're going to come up 10 containers short before you start on those knives...

Slicing 1 needs 20 Containers.
Slicing 2 needs 40 Containers.
Slicing 3 needs 100 Weapons.
Slicing 4 needs 200 Weapons.

Along with that, you'll need 300 WUKs, 360 Clamps, and 72 fully charged PLKs.

I just need 10 more containers, and I have that. Thanks.

I sliced my fingers for damage.

I usually do 9 crates of armor (25 suits) a day for my smith, the inventory sort makes it a PITA though.

Mojo; "Wish I could accept, but the whole range has been branded as being sliced by me."

Just curious but are there really still players out there that think some Master Smugglers slice better than others? Especially over 2,000 of them?

I mean I do get customers that claim I slice "great" and they'll come back to me over and over again but I just figure they're being nice and don't really believe there is a difference.

Simply put yes, not as in they get better stats (though the lady does smile upon me) but as I have the right attitude that many players see and approve of. (my fave quote about me was: I always use Mojo, he has just that right level of dodgyness about him to make me feel comfortable).

I charge a fair bit more than many others on our server, but with me you are getting the Galaxy famous Mojo's Nearly Legal brand. I was voted our servers best smuggler of the year for my attitude, not my skill.

oohhhh yeah there are...

what's worse is that there are smugglers still out there who hurt our cause by claiming to be the "best" slicer or some other gimmick just to get more business for themselves.

some is player ignorance, some is our own kind stabbing us in the back.

And some is those of us that actually roleplay an egotistical rogue.

Mojo KNOWS he is the best. He KNOWS there are a few other top notch (not as top as him of course) and then there are "those others" out there, who are nobodies.

That is not the same as me, the players view.

This is something you need to consider before you say that it is bad form to say otherwise. All IMHO

I found a great way to grind the slicing line once you have 1 and 2. What you do, is get you a good pistol, about 300 clamps or so, about 150 or more WUKs and go and stand outside coronet and auto attack meatlumps with a loot macro going. I recommend a fast pistol so you don't die, otherwise, get some 3.5 hour buffs or something. Anyway, I just ran this macro:

/ui action cycleTargetOutward;

/attack;

/pause 1;

/loot;

/macro thugs

Make sure you are grouped with something so you can get more xp. I grouped with my mouse droid and it worked fine. You should get around 85 xp per meatlump. But now the slicing part. These guys drop cheap weapons and containers right and left. I was just sitting there slicing as they came in, sometimes there was a break but most of the time, I was able to loot a weapon or container about as fast as I could slice them. Many containers also contain weapons so pull them out and slice them.

I figure, since you have to take the time to slice anyway, might as well get some pistol xp for the other lines while you are doing it, and it keeps you from having to buy containers or crates of weapons to slice

AFK grinding is so gauche as to not even be worth mentioning.

Just buy crates of combat knifes (I sell these at 2500 a crate) and there you go.
