I know people can get BIG mission payouts after grouping with others to get the missions in the first place. But where else can you (without finding a big group, and refreshing the terminal X times) solo missions and make 1/4 million per hour? It's just you and your client. No running around to find a big group or getting in a group that doesn't have enough people yet and you wait & wait for people to join to get the HIGH missions. No driving 1000m or more to the mission, then kill the mobs, then drive to another mission, kill that mob, then go back to the terminal to refresh refresh refresh GOT 1! refresh refresh refresh refresh refresh refresh GOT 1. Rinse & repeat. I know it can be easy if the groups are there and the leader is inviting people and you get there b4 he runs to do his missions. Yes the missions can be 400m away and it takes little to get there. But that's alot of ifs. You can't do any of that solo. You NEED the group.

FP selling you need noone but your mission (client) and it comes to you! Pays you! Then leaves!

Easy money.

ps Easy money when the opportunity presents itself.

pss Thanks for explaining the 138 FP. I didn't float this thread and couldn't find it easily.

Not to mention that if you are selling the faction points from a player owned faction base, every credit you spend goes into the maint pool. Ive made a few mil by havin cities pay me to sell faciton from their bases so they dont ahve to deposite maintanance. One base that i sold from for almost 3 months straight had nearly 10 RL years of maint.

I loved selling faction at 180-200/point ... since some people (not mentioning any names) market such low prices ... it usually is not worth my time to do it ... but I do at times.

I now make most of my money outside of Slicing/Spices/Faction ... but I still do it to help people out.

Selling faction points is one of the easiest ways to make money in this game. Sure missions have good payouts but nothing is as easy as selling FP. All you have to do is trigger a macro and the job is done. Then you can either chat up your customer or just ALT-TAB and surf the net

Well, you can dis the missions if you want, but the setup is one-time. That is, the travel and the big group only needs to be done once, usually. And the missions keep going as long as you can stay awake. I could turn yours around and talk about having to find a customer, then having to go back to the recruiter, then go find another customer, blah, blah, blah... I bet you run out of customers before I run out of missions! I would also argue that running missions is much more entertaining than standing in one spot clicking the same buttons over and over....

Sorry. I agree that selling FP CAN be easy money. I just wanted to make the point that it is not the ONLY way to make easy money in that magnitude. After all.... you DID ask.

Wayne,

You are correct.

FP selling can be turned around to sound complicated and time consuming. I think the big issue is availability. Worst case for missions is you're 3 hops away from Dant or Dath, you wait the maximum time at each shuttle and have a hard time finding a group and refreshing missions until you find the "right" one. Worst case for FP is .... no one asks to buy FP from you. With missions you can seek them out easier. You can't seek out FP buyers easily. BUT .... hehe there's always a butt .. err ... but If you're standing their wondering what to do in SWG tonight and you think ... "hmmm I'll solo Janta missions and make a ton of credits" and just then someone sends you a tell asking to "buy 30,000 FP as soon as possible!" you'd be insane not to sell the FP if you want a big payout versus the Janta missions.

That's where I was kind of going with my reasoning.

You also have a valid point and I agree.
