Good call, Dreven. I am actually suspicious that, if cross-server stuff is intentionally disallowed, it's to prevent massive gatherings and general collections of the disgruntled, but at the very least it wouldn't be permanently preserved for the public like it is on the boards.

a game wide cross server Smuggler chat would be nice indeed.
Since PM and /tell work cross server, I thought for a while channels did too, but apparently no. I think it would be a small fix so I hope we eventually get it.
