Here's something they could do really fast, without having to change the skill mod. I think that this wouldn't take much effort

Institute penalties for each side(Jedi vs. Bounty Hunter) abusing it.

Jedi uses it: Experience loss equal to 75% of that lost on incapacitation

Bounty Hunter uses it during a mission: Loss of mission, loss of TEF(and group TEF), inability to pick up the same mission for a week.

I like this idea the best. If they use it, they should suffer some consequence.

the only problem i see with feign is that it works on intelligent beings aka non-AI. it working against npcs and creatures is fine but it really shouldnt work against people. another thing about it is that you can feign indefinately, at least if im not mistaken. you canplay dead all day if you wanted to.being in a feigned state should have some timer on it where those around you would finally figure out that you arent a corpse as they witness your chest moving up and down.

And thus more camping.....

and there isnt camping now? if camping is really your concern, then all the more reason it should NOT work against players. few would have need to camp a true corpse.

npcs will forever be limited by their programming but thats why a timer is needed. the npcs will figure you out if you stay on the ground too long aka your timer is gone.most players know if they have dbed a person or not but a npc must go by what his programming tells him. feign tells him that you are a corpse till the timer runs out.

but if you hate the idea of being able to feign on npcs then thats fine as well. i dont think smugglers should be punished in pve even if AI is *suppose* to be smart. my original argument was that feign is fine but doesnt belong in the pvp world.

I am 100% behind this. I think this is the BEST way to prevent Jedi and BHs from abusing the ability, and you'd never have to move it higher up in the Smuggler trees, keeping a new Smuggler's pistol grind a little easier.

Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

Yes, there is camping, but if you implement something that would make you attackable even afterone hour, you'd be sure you will ALWAYS be camped...
For now, all guys that standed next to me got away after 10 minuts max.... because they knew i was the only one that could say when i want to get off my feigning

Leave it alone.

It's a smuggler skill and if the dabblers don't like the way it works.

TOUGH!

Let them dabble elsewhere.

Why don't we ask the devs tocreatea DRAG command.

This would allow any player to latch onto and drag any FDed player to the nearest cloner. That way we could provide some fodder for the clone campers and maybe they would get the XP faster andLeave the area sooner.

TheFD argument between BHs and Jedi is not worth our effort.
