Actually, 23% on a weapon isn't terrible...you're talking about nearly a 1/4 better than it was before. So, you didn't get max slice....what, really, is the big deal?

I view slicing is an improvement that greatly varies & as long as my weapon gets improved in one way or another, Im happy.

though i cant complain too much about the lousy slice on the scatter. If you are from kettemoor and know who i am, youll know about my legendary vk's i made a few months back. Sliced a set for a customer awhile back, 32 damage!!!! She was very happy, needless to say. Any time you can get a VK over 250 damage with a good pu is a great time.

Mid level speed slice on an expensive weapon? Frustrating as heck, yeah.
More frustrating is getting the reputation of "the guy who always slices low 20s or worse", no matter what equipment you use. I havent seen more than 2 slices over 30 in over a month. I'd gladly trade a single 23% speed slice on a krayt'd weapon for a few 33%+slices now and again. Count your blessings, friend. It can get much worse, believe me!

Well, although that does blow for the guy who owned the weapon, somewhat, I wish I could get a few 23%s lately. All of mine have been 18s, 13s, maybe a 20 if I'm lucky. And armor? Well, all my nice highend encumberance slices are on the shield generators and all my crappy low end base slices are on the 200k a chest peice composite armor...

actually 23% isnt all that bad i had a master slice me 4 sets of vk's hoping that one would be a dmg slice. guess what none of them got a dmg slice they all got 25% SPEED slices. that sucked but no big deal i know that they cant control it and neither can I. but seriously smuggler needs some real reworking aside from FD and last ditch half the professions skill boxes are empty coming with no skill mods or new abbilities and equipment for slicing should matter, just like it does for every crafting profession. I mean when a pikeman can slice better than a master smuggler there is something wrong. (that was sarcasm for all of u who were gonna post "aakira where the hell did u get the idea that a pikeman can slice")

we all know a better slicing system needs to be implaced. somthing like the experintation screen for crafters would work.maybe a new device you can build at master that will guarentee a better slice(somthing over 25%). experimintation does need to be fixed but also we should get exprimenttation points in slicing tree. I do agree no one should be sad by 23% it is an improvment and people have come to think anything under 30% is a terrible slice. I think we need to raise prices and remind people what they are getting an improved weapon. 10% by a master is sad I do argree with that.

I had the best luck the other day..I needed to replace my powerhammer and sword...so expecting my bank balance to drop as I intended to buy til i got perfect slices..
2h Curved sword no.1: 35% damage Whoohoo
Powerhammer No1.: 20% damage..not bad, but these had pretty good base damage and i wanted a speedslice so I could swing it at the speedcap

In all honesty though..I do hope the revamp makes things fun..these days I just feel like a slice moneky..and usually do missions for cash and hide my title :/
Spice market is no existent, Selling faction is too risky unless you are harcore pvp god or have backup
So what is there for us to do? I hope the revamp makes it fun again..I wanna have useful spices to sell and stuff..

in the great mystery of slicing and the hush hush for almost a year from the developers... with all the crazy crap going on and the quasi real life simulation and fantasy for the other half. when it seams like all the develpers want to do is slow us down any way , shape or form possible. sure experimentation percents dont matter. but then again.... who really knows with those guys. they wont say squat !!!!! but i wouldnt put it past them to have done some crazy stealth hot fix sometime in the past. my opinion will remain this way even if someone fancy comes in here and says "we are looking into that" or "it is being considered" or "to provide quality product to our customers. it has been delayed". they will not tell us either way. they just want the visa or master card number and expiration date
