Thread: A slighty different point of view
We don't know exactly what happened, but Veela has been significantly less happy with the Devs since then, and has expressed significant doubt about Smuggling as a whole.
So apparently writing to complain will either be met with silence or replied to with a form letter of,
"F*ck you and the f*cking horse you f*cking rode in on, I'll f*ck your sh*t up Biiiiiitch", signed, SOE Customer Relations
I thought the ban had to do with being in the wrong forum. I didn't see the post. Was if flamish or trollish?
I think that if they were banning people just for saying that the smuggler profession should be fixed, there'd be no one here. Obviously there has to be more than that.
Just wonder what it was.......

I didn't see what was posted, only have hearsay to go on. I'm not accusing you of lying, but being "banned" obviously hasn't slowed you down since you've quickly made a new account and evaded the ban. So tossing out the "I got banned" argument is a bit lame in my opinion. Your other username can't post for a week, but you're still here.
As for what I would do if I had been banned, I think I've been pretty clear on it. I'd write letters, emails, make phone calls, etc. I wouldn't be wasting my time posting on these forums any more, and I for sure wouldn't be throwing a temper tantrum and starting thread after thread about the same thing.
Like I said, it's starting to look like the Jedi forum in here, and that's a shame.
Nah, you're looking to get banned so you can always argue that leaving SWG wasn't your own doing.
You know damn good and well that there won't be any changes installed before July 31st. Pub 20 hits on the 19th and that will probably do it for the month of July. In other words, you've already quit SWG, you just want to vent your spleen before you walk out. You're already gone, you just won't suck it up and admit it.
So tell me of one time "Your" method of writing a letter has ever helped? If I'm not mistaken almost all changes are done beacuse of what is said in these forums. Just look at all the cries for nerfs followed by a dev stating "ok we'll fix that in the next patch" And I do know that there's won't be anthing till after pub 20 but that's not the point. The point is that we should have been smuggling at PUBLISH 1. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD OVER AND OVER AND OVER that we'd be the first, or next profession to get to be able to smuggler. HAVE WE?
Also I'm sad we shamed you beacuse we turned this into the jedi forum but if you look at all the changes they get I think it is a step we should take.
And one more thing. I am sucking it up and admiting it you sorry piece of an exscuse for a smuggler.

WHAT? Ok explaine to me how YOU think I've lost perspective. I'm one of the smugglers who think we should actually smuggler not sit around slicing junk and drinking beer and pie all day.
I think all you are doing is trying to make ourself look good and distance yourself from us so you won't go down with us. Get out of this forum.
I think we should be able to smuggle as well. I never got into the "beer and pie" aspects, and I think the slicing system stinks to the point that I don't even bother with it anymore.
I don't need to make myself look good at all, you're doing a fine job of it all on your own with every idiotic post you make filled with poor grammar and spelling. Yeah, I really want someone that writes like a moron out in the lead speaking for the Smuggler community.

If you think you could do better at speaking for the community then by all means do so.The fact thatI've never seen your name before doesn't mean anything of course.
Personaly I think my spelling has been pretty decent in my past posts.

I don't think what happened to Veela was appropriate and all, and I know how I would have handled it. The person I was speaking to on the phone would have been asked to connect me with their Supervisor, and I would have followed that chain of command up the line until I got someone that was serious about customer service.
I've taken that route with EA/OSI and gotten a satisfactory result on issues I had with UO. In one case it took me making a personal appearance at the OSI offices (you'd be amazed what kind of response a 6' 4" male asking to speak with a particular individual gets) but I got the job done.
It doesn't improve things at all when people start beating the drums to get banned.

Heh, somehow I don't think walking into SOE would be the same. And also, veela had the added bonus of being able to call on behalf of the gaming press. So, that they would treat someone who could publicly denigrate them, is beyond me.

I know you're angry and no I'm not taking it personally, and I certainly don't hate you.
Stepping back and closing your account(s) is more than just sending a message - it's a good idea for your own state of mind. If you're able to get thisfired up over lack of responsiveness by SOE, then it's best to get away from what is bothering you. You were paying to play for your own enjoyment, and it's obvious you weren't enjoying it very much.
Two years of listening to SOE lies is wearing.
Maybe had I just stepped into SWG I'd have more patience but two years is just way too much fo SOE lying to me...and that is exactly what they've been doing, directly or indirectly.
