The other components are supposed to drop pretty regularly from random mobs throughout the galaxy, so I don't see a problem with rarity.

We slaughtered thousands of NPC's of all varieties over the weekend and nothing dropped. That's a little too rare. We tried everything from meatlump level up for the 'regular' drops (which I would consider to be the tier 2 stuff). I heard one report of a mercenary on Lok dropping something but could not reproduce it, and I don't think anybody else could either. This stuff that is supposed to be lower level is just not dropping often enough for the level.

Well, it sounds like the lower level slicing stuff isn't dropping enough.

I wouldn't mind at all if the tier 4 components were REALLLLLY rare. That just means that the playerbase will put alot of value into them. Once these components are given as rewards for smuggler missions, THEN I think it will be okay for the supply to open up, but only under the control of smugglers. We need to be in true command of the slicing system.

If you don't want me to "play the forums," then I suggest you make time playing the game more rewarding and less repetitive than "playing" here!

Man if this thing about P-trap ships dropping slice loot is true, I have visions of Privateer pilots calling these guys over and over again to ambush their own backup. Could replace the Black Sun Helmet Hunt as the new space Olympics.

What level was the component you got?

I also heard (maybe) that the upper level components only drop in the hard dungeons. Haven't you TC guys gone to one and gotten one in a trip? That would sound like a good drop rate in a dungeon to me if something is going to be rare.

I haven't looted any kits (the only one I had was a converted WUK I had)

I wasn't on the dungeon run but NS's have been spotted with a t3/4 armour kit, the only other drops I heard of was one imp, one merc and one pirate trap ship in Kashyyyk space.

There are very, very few of anything that has dropped, we aren't that bothered about the tier 4 stuff as far as drop rate goes, but to be honest who cares about tier 4 if you can't get the tier 2 and 3 that you need before you can use the tier 4 one?

NB: Any comments I make on TC code can and often do change
before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
comments with that in mind.

axob, my group cleared the NS stronghold + a few spares tht resawned and only 1 madalorian frame dropped... if that's what you're going for...

off the top of my head that's a tier 4 armor drop.. unstacked

other then that I haven't looted anythingelse personally, of any level.. including killing an increasing amount of imps (anyone need any reb faction on tc?)
