I'm convinced that buy now either lucas has a very selective memory about how things where supposed to be, or he has alzhimers, either way he should not be allowed near his creations ever again.

The real question isn't "who" shot 1st....

All that matters is that who "stands" LAST!!!!!

Greedo... buuuut... the FX didnt go off on set. So, in post-production, they werent able to convincingly add the spark and smoke of blasterfire hitting the wall at the time. The editor suggested Han shooting first wasnt such a bad thing, and off it went with Han being the cold-blooded-killer-gone-good we all loved. As withmany films, the only script we saw was the theatrical release script- the script edited to match the final result, not the script that was shot from ("Shooting Script").

Now, with current technology, Lucas has been able to put Greedo's shot back where his original script called for it. The trouble is, the on set "accident" that had Han shooting first made for a more interesting and dynamic character. Now, he's just lucky Greedo's a bad shot.

If you don't want me to "play the forums," then I suggest you make time playing the game more rewarding and less repetitive than "playing" here!

I didn't know that.

That's kinda funny, because this seems to have happened again to Harrison Ford during the shoot of Raiders of the Lost Ark. During the street fight in Cairo, Indy was originally supposed to get into a long, drawn out fight with the swordsman. Harrison, perhaps from drinking the local water, said he wasn't feeling that well and had about another hour left before he was done for the day. As they were trying to figure out how to shoot the scene, or if they had enough time to delay shooting it to another day, a crew member suggested that Indy just pull his gun and shoot the guy.

every true smuggler knows that it was and will allways be Han that shot first. (and now thanks to ripped laser disk copies of the original trilogy I can watch him shoot first on DvD! )

Actually, I got unequivocal proof at Celebration 3 in Indy this year that Han did indeed, shoot first. Paul Blake (Greedo) was signing autographs this year.

On mine, he signed,

"i did not shoot first"

Greedo

Paul Blake

I will be posting the pic as soon as I can get my hands on a flatbed scanner. Meeting this guy in person was great, he's awesome. He was telling us a couple of stories about the shooting. (yes, a double meaning there) My personal favorite was when he told us during the scene what he was actuallysaying toHarrison Ford was to get his feet off of his table.

Han shot first originally, but then it was changed in the remastered versions. So in my eyes Han shot first, since the originals came before the remastered versions.

Lucas was disappointed on how that ended up looking so thus why it was remastered. It was *supposed* to be that Greedo shot first.

Han. He knew a BH was sitting there with a blaster in his face. The game could be up, but he had a line on a deal that could bail him out. He didn't have many options. Get blasted or apprehended, or do the deal and get the money that would save his hide... So, slide the blaster out from under the table and

/lastditch

Poor Greedo wasn't much of a bounty hunter. Boba Fett would have walked in a done a /fireknockdown before Han even knew what was up, and he would havewound up in carbonite much sooner.

Someonesaid that Han was just lucky that Greedo missed, but if you watch in super slow motion.... you'll notice that Greedo goes for an eye shot FIRST, but Hanactually twitches his headever so slightly before whacking the Greedy one.

Han fired the ONLY shot. Laser Disc Ripped DVD's have to be outselling (or at least they are outproducing!) the authorized crappy nerfed carebear piece of monkey doodoo versions. Yes I'm bitter that he is messing with my childhood. I want to see the movie start with the scrolling "A Long, Long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away etc etc" not this "Episode IV" crap either. Blah. I need to go get a buzz on.
