Thread: Help out Thunderheart Poll on Slicing experimentation
I vote for B knowing full well I will not slice anymore for profit. I do not have Artisan skills, but I won't forsake the profession for my laziness.
There are plenty of other attractive parts of Smuggling that I would happily embrace for the sake of the profession, and I will still remain a Smuggler. As long as someone doesn't do a horrible number on Underworld, and leave our specials intact, I would be happy.
That's the trick thoough. Forcing Smugglers to search out high quality Minerals for clamps and knives kinda alters the pre-reqs for what Smugglers have evolved into from release. I think in Beta, most Smugglers agreed they didn't want to craft, so they changed it. Now, how do you go back? How do you force combat Smugglers to drop skills to pick up Artisan skills so they can survey the best spots, as opposed to dropping harvesters where you see others, and hoping you find what you need.
As I said, I vote B.
A.
We are NOT crafters... we are smugglers. We are the ones that will take the crappiest and cheapest of tools and make something better for a price. We are lazy, but we want our money.
Smugglers and thieves are not perfectionists when it comes to making something, we scam others into getting their cash.
If you want experimentation, then go be a Artisan. You 'B' people have no idea what a smuggler is do you... quit ruining the profession.
Let us be sneaky, underhanded, thieves...
Let us be Smugglers.
Wow.. this thread is still going? I thought we declared a tie a long time ago.
I fully understand that people get pissed at poor results. But do you really think the devs are going to INCREASE our % average here? If there is any experimentation, it will simply lower the lower end of the scale and create statification between smugglers and miners... 'cause that is what experimantation is all about... mining frikken resources. Not crafting, not skill... but hands in the dirt mining.
Im above mining. Im a smuggler darnit.

My fear with B is the balance piece--if they give us improved success, they have to take something away.
Unless I've miscounted it's 103 - 102
Frightening how even it is, no?
