Umm, yah, if the Queen of theBanned was actually here posting, which she's not cause she's banned.
Move along, nothing to see here.

The point many are bringing up is that too much of the developer time is spent working on jedi to the exclusion of the other classes. This is the nature of an Alpha class. More and more developer time is spent on it to reward the work people have put into it while less and less is spent on people who play the other parts of the game. The end result is that the non-Alpha class people become more and more rare. Thus deminishing the value of the Alpha class as well. The end result is that all classes become less 'special' Just the Beta classes do it first. They used to have a Dev assigned to each class. It was usually 4+ professions to each Dev. But, they don't mention that any more. Post JTL kind of broke that. And, it isn't just a matter of how much works in your profession. It's a matter of any attention at all. Jedi may complain about some of their force abilities are useless or bugged. Smugglers would love to be able to complain that our smuggling missions are useless or bugged. At least then, some attention would have been paid to us and we would have smuggling. Right now, all we really have is a bubble tank and the ability to land at Jabba's (along with BH's). When I look at how much of the publishes are spent on jedi versus the other classes, it becomes sickening to consider that they are adding in a whole expansion with large amounts of content going to jedi. Most of the things we have learned from the marketing (including the HoC) is that there is a new lava saber and some new crystals. It is questionable if the ships mentioned in the HoC were for the expansion or a future publish since they were constantly refusing to get specific about the publish. The specifics we know of come from the press releases and screen shots.
And, you might want to work on your presentation of information. At least attempt to use sentences and full words. If you don't care enough to spend the extra few seconds in the ATTEMPT, then why should your readers care enough to read at all? You are living up to the stereotype that most (unjustly) give to jedi: immature children who care only about themselves and how uber l337 they are.
QFE!
Just one thing I would like to clarify. Being able to land at Jabba's palace is not exclusive to Smuggler's or BH's. Anyone who is a neutral pilot can land there (not sure if you have to do the Jabba themepark as well).

BTW...
I'll be the first to admit my grammar sucks. I was always good at math and science and struggled with grammar in school. But the effort is there and that's what counts.

You DO know basic writing skills! The system works! You understand how to type like a normal human being!
Which means you're just inconsiderate and lazy. You're not helping your case here sweetheart. ![]()

Nope it is all done for free.
So it is just being used as another marketing outlet for canned replies to predictable questions on narrow topics, then?At least that's how I read all the, "We can't answer, but believe me, you can't wait!" replies. :/Edit: What I was hoping that the HoC chats were were an opportunity to discuss and understand the nature and direction of the present and future of the game.Message Edited by Rhu on 08-25-2005 05:13 PM
HoC chats are an opportunity to discuss the topic at hand. Last night's chat discussion was based upon the new expansion announcement and experience changes from last week.We can only answer questions that pretain to those chat discussions. Players submit the questions to question takers and they are forwarded on to us during the chat. There will always be certain topics we can't discuss due to trade secrets so to speak.
That's all very fine and dandy, Tiggs, but nothing was answered (circular 'wait and see' statements are not answers), and neither was anything else besides the Expansion 'discussed' - despite being advertised to the contrary.
All in all, it's just impossible to believe anything that comes from the dev's mouths anymore. I don't think it's that you don't want to tell us anything, I believe it's LA's control over you all.
Can you imagine that after two years Smugglers are still waiting to receive any content related to their professions. Do you want me to go through the list of professions that function as their title suggests? They all can, except for Smugs.
The saddest thing is, I doubt you'll even respond to that last sentence, and just brush by it, fearing the big hand of LA. Quite frankly, I believe I've paid enough subscription fees to SOE (SWG is not the only SOE title I pay to play) to warrant some kind of answer as to when I can expect to play this profession as it's name suggests.
But I won't get one will I, Tiggs? I don't want to be a Jedi, therefore my voice, and my needs are no longer important. Why? Because like all big companies, accountants run the show. And lightsabers sell Star Wars products, not smugglers. And I'm not saying this because I want a revolution or because I like to complain all the time. Many nights a week I log into the game, desparately trying to come up with new ways to get the most out of the game...
...I would really appreciate a little help here.
(Brannoc) *COLS_Ragnaar* Q: How come I've never heard of this lava planet before? Wheres conetnt I know about and I'd have the urge to play? (Hoth, Hutt Casino, Underworld, Cloud City)
(Rogue_5) Mustafar is now actually an infamous planet as part of the Star Wars universe. It is the key turning point in Episode III where Obi-Wan and Anakin fought their famous final battle. (I guess he hasn't seen Episode IV yet. I hope no one spoils it for him.)But questions remain, what was going on there and why were they there... Find out in Trials of Obi-Wan!
(juliot) Look forward to in depth Star Wars story lines on the planet Mustafar, the content in tailored to a directed immersive Star Wars experience.
Right on top of things as always. Was that a HoC chat or a non-televised marketing event?
