Already looking at what to use my final respec to change from smuggler. I liked being a Smuggler for the RP value of it but now that my concussion shot is useless unless I'm running scared and it's too much of a pain to waste time trying to loot the tools I used to be able to make. Guess this spells the end for this Smuggler.

Hey... haven't the Dev's been takeing somethings out of the game because they were "not fun"? (i.e. weapon breakage, etc.) I've been reading some of the above posts, and most of them say that the new loot system is "not fun"...


Perhaps it is time to make this part of the game fun.


Eiter make a sliceing system a little more grounded in reality (craftable components), lower the difficulty of the MOB's from which the loot drops from and increase the drop rate, or *gasp* add smuggler missions (you know fun missions) where the components are possible mission rewards.

I like the idea of loot items however this 2% slice without stinks should give a better base slice then have loot items as bonuses. As it is now slicing is usless 2% dmg yealds a max of +20 max dmg on a 900 dmg wepon its pitifull before we got up to 20% slices for speed and like 12% dmg. this is rediculous

Perhaps the drops will be added as rewards for smuggler missions.


I can slice all level 1 slices on a weapon with no components atall, and up to 2nd level with reasnably easy to obtain loot.


The only reason for having to use one of these DWB loot drops is if you/your customer wants a 3rd or 4th tier slice in one category. At which pointI will insist he gets itfor himself! perhaps I'll insist he gets 2 and then I wont charge him.


To those that say why not make it like kryat drops and have the loot enhance slicing beyond normal limits, thats exacly what it does. you simply cant get the good slices without them. If you dont have the "kryat tissue" you cant get a top tier slice.


Ill reserve judgement untill I can actualy see it in action.

Dontmind these components being llotable as long as they also introduce the mission based concepts previously discussed by us so that we have an alternative and more smuggler way of getting our slicing kits.
