Little bit late this reply as there have been six pages of replies... but giving my 10p worth.
I havn't seen answers so evasive since I saw a congressional hearing on the telly a couple of months ago. If I was one of the Smugglers who have been in the game since the very beginning I would be.... words can't describe it without profanity.

Oh they can, trust me, it's just that the DEV's would need to go and find a dictionary to look em up. Not to bright some of those guys.![]()

I'm not even going to ask, 'Are they ever going to get it?' because they aren't. We continue to produce AMAZING ideas for them to implement to make us happy. They go, 'Oh thanks, but here.' and its some bastardized atrocity. They have given us either 'soon' or how many half assed 'in concepts' now?
They keep saying 'We want to produce a 'fun' game'
For who? 10 year olds and mentally handicapped kids? What an embarrassment.

That's right Makiino, just as you said, they want to produce a fun game for Jedi.

Have these devs not seen Firefly or Serenity after we bring it up time and time again? Heck, maybe they need to read some of the Star Wars novels like both of the Han Solo trilogies and maybe the Lando Calrissian trilogy to get an idea! Maybe they should, oh I don't know, watch that part of Episode IV where Han is outrunning Imperial Star Destroyers! Apparently they watched everything up to that when they got the idea for Rangers and just fell asleep immediatly afterwards.
I'll say this for all of us. Don't give us a lame revamp! If it will take you months to make the revamp we want then take however long you need to do it! Don't foist something lame on us and then say we got our revamp and go devote yourselves to the Jedi again. If you need me to draw up the entire document or plan of action, I will do it. I'll take the rest of the night to do it anyway just to give you a massive idea. Work on one system at a time piecemeal and then throw it all together in one publish. Remember, I'm only upset because you are playing fast and loose with the whole reason I got into this game. Luke was never my hero. Han is my hero and man we need to realize that!
Well that Q&A pretty much put the nail in the coffin. Been a smuggler since release but I'm tired of being promised content (not a special delivery mission) and having the promise of a fully fleshed out profession then being kicked in the crotch repeatedly by a steel toed boot.

Good luck all.

Admittedly, with a bit of application you can solo anything in JTL with practice. That said, there are some pretty tough things out there - Storm Squadron t3 is considered the hardest thing in JTL.
The fact does remain though that there are people out there that still do think that the JSF is low mass and that actually having to have some talent to get a mastery is too hard. It's well known that there are people who try and hitch lifts in the gunnery seat with a master flying so they can get the xp and finish the missions to get the mastery badge. And they pay for it as well - I've seen posts offering 100k per box filled.
That's the kind of thing we're up against - the attitude of why do I have to be at the keyboard and do something rather than running an AFK macro and grinding it. The narrow vision where they want the end reward of the badge or loot with the least effort and with no regard to actually enjoying the journey. I know I've been guilty of it in the past with one of my ground masteries and it made me take a good long break from the game.
Now I try and enjoy the trip. I'm about to finish my 6th space squad and I can honestly say I've enjoyed it all - except for the insanely long escort missions, but who doesn't?
Ace SS *shudders at the memory of tier 3. immediately dropped it. Every squad is easy after SS tier 3. itstough because its non stop combat against wave after wave with abosultely no break, usually 8enemies always on you and a tier above you at any given time for the whole 2 hour mission. bring a friend who is a master pilot and its loads of fun and still challenging.
LOL well there ya go.Thanks KenjiTokugawa. I just think of Rangers as "lets round em up" type people...sorry living in Iowa does that to youI guess.
