I'm tired of having to search for it, and it's the best smuggler quick reference for what does what and needs what
The only way to learn anything is to create a wholly new post using words like u, and r, and teh.
I'll give it a shot:

The information here is much more organized (for my purposes of seeing what does what for slicing) than any of the other stickied posts.

Only way this'll be stickied is if lots of people PM wes... Though I don't condone it...
Crated WUKs and AUKs do not convert to the new system, even after unstacking. However the very last WUK/AUK taken from a crate will have the "convert" option (thanks Kindbeer), not as good as all having the convert option, however it's better than loosing all of them.
Just for the record, this is not true. I have a smuggler who had 6 crates of wuks made prior to the change. I was able to "salvage" 2 crates worth with no problem. The other 4 I can do at my leisure. And I even got 5 finely crafted toolkits out of it as well. So if you have any crates of wuks created before the update, they can ALL be salvaged... however, youDO have to take them out of the crate first. Oh.. and every single one was converted!!
Any wuks that are made after the update (if that is even possible) WILL NOT BE SALVAGABLE!!

All,
Last night I noticed I had a WUK schematic still in my inventory so I though what the heck lets try putting it in the equipment factory and see if it works before I delete it and low and behold it manufactured 900 WUK's that are all salvagable. So you might want to ask your friendly WS / AS if they still have the manufacturing schematics for the WUK/AUK so you can create yourself some more slavagable crates

Now that's good to know. I am also a x/3/1/2 weaponsmith! 
I think I will see if I can make more wuks when I am on tonight! If I still have the schematic it should be no problem right? Cool!!
