When the Wookie CURB comes out in a couple of weeks a (LOT) of changes will go down.
I heard that we will be able to reallocate SP that we already have into whatever we want.
IF that is true- What do ya'll plan to do?
I ask because I am thinking of going from
Master Swords/(almost) Master Smuggler/ medic 0040
to
Master Fencer/Master Smuggler/Pistoleer 4404
or some other combo in there. I wanna try to get all those state defenses and dodge mods together (hopefully they still exist after the Wookie CURB).
any thoughts on that question?

What?
They're going to let us reallocate skill points????? A one time thing or whenever we want?
I hope they don't do this, that is just such a dumbing-down of this game that it makes me sick.

I think its a one-time deal for skill point reallocation, and only counts for skill points you've used, so if you're working on a template, and have like, twenty skill points left unused, you wouldn't be able to reallocate your twenty unused points.

I don't see the point in allowing even a one-time reallocation of skill points. The only possible reason I can see is to yet make this game easier. Personall I think it's a horrible idea.

No it's not a stupid idea. For two reasons.
A. It has let me fool around w/ other professions until the CU, with no fear that my choices now will somehow affect me later
B. It allows people who may, say LOVE fencer now, and HATE the new, CURB'd fencer, can switch to say swords, or pistols, without the (hopefully) more challenging grind. they've made it to the top already,SOE is about to (from all inferences) radically change everyone's professions. Ideally, they'll let everyone Blue Frog it on a TC before it goes live so try can have a Sense of what they want.
Personally I've been playing with all sorts of profs, having a lot of fun, and not worrying That when the CURB comes, whatever profs I have at that point Iwont be Stuck with barring a long grind.

Highly doubt it. It would contradict the whole point.

f*ck jedi.
If Smuggler doesn't show SERIOUS signs of improvement w/ the CURB/WookieeCookieI'm going Rifleman/Ranger (I'll have grind Ranger the old-fashioned way since non-com profs don't fall under the SP re-allocation as far as I know)
Otherwise I may go Smuggler/Pistoleer/Medic/Scout, or stick w/ Smug/Commando.

Jedi and FS skills are not included in the reallocation along with any non combat skills. In other words, if the DF tree is sweet, we'll have a lot of peeps pick it up, but they won't be able to get our other trees through reallocation.

although i do find the reallocation a 'good idea', im leaning towards "why did TH think of this? holy **edit** thats retarded"... more Commando's 4-0-0-0 to follow i guess...
Big reason - all combat professions are changing radically. Nothing is the same about the new combat system and the old one (other then the look of some weapons and armor). What you know about combat now is completely different from what will be. So the profession you play now may not be the profession you will play in the future. Grinding should be almost impossible after the CURB (figure 2 months to master at many hours a day). So they will allow a 1 time only combat profession skill respec so that you are not stuck with a profession that no longer meets your expectation.

My god.
I've got two months to master Brawler/Fencer/Pistoleer for three characters.
