Ok, I read through Dreven's FAQ on this stuff and about the CoA stuff. But here's what's throwing me...I know that bases and NPCs and stuff will cost differently on different planets based on who's winning the GCW at that time on that particular planet.
But what about regular old faction? Is there a bonus or something that is or isn't calculated differently based on who's winning the GCW on the planet that you are buying on?

Hehe, good question. I had some questions myself about this. Rebels currently have 29/7 control over Rori, but at the recruiter the price for a faction pet is more than double what it used to be, even tho we rebels are winning. Fuzzy math logic perhaps?
Also, how the hell do you get promoted? seems the recruiters forgot all about promotions?

I know that if you're losing the war badly on one planet, that you get cheaper discounts on that planet. So if you're a Rebel and you're gettig beat 30 - 1 on Corellia, you'll get some DAMN cheapfaction perks on Corellia.
Consequently, if you're winning Naboo 25-3, you would be paying a LOT more there than elsewhere. If it's tied 10 - 10, then there's no bonus/penalty either way.

The promotion option only show up if you have enough fp for your next rank.

Did they change that?
Until very recently, it was always there, and it'd just tell you that you don't qualify, and how many FP you need for the promotion.

Yeah, when I went on TC-Gorath the other day I was confused at first, but after a bit of messing around I figured it out.

Keep your shorts on guys...I've got an Excel spreadsheet in the works...with prices for all Imp and Reb perks...
Once it's finished, I'll see if Caylin can add it to the one he's got posted, or I'll see if I can find some place to host it myself...

This is why I love this guy...he allows me to maintain my laziness bonuses without having to get new skill tapes or bio-clothing.

What I don't get is why if you control a planet you are penalized with the faction perks. Imperials have more bases on Dant. The prices there are outrageous for faction perks while for rebels they are at the cheapest. The same is true for Tat except in reverse. Why would you want to make things more expensive for your faction by placing bases? Shouldn't it be if your faction controls the planet the faction perks be cheaper? Is this how it's meant to be or was there a + used instead of a -?

think of it like you won the championship in a pro sport and next season have to face a much tougher schedual. This is not a real war its a game if you get to far ahead they change things to make it tougher to stay ahead.

Ok...I finished up my spreadsheet and shot it off to Caylin to see if he would host it...basically replacing the one he put together and that's already linked in the Important Links sticky.
If he can't host it, or I don't hear from him tomorrow, I'll look into finding someplace to host it myself this weekend.
It will be a VERY handy tool.

Ok this is what I've done. I have Dreven's new
spreadsheet and I've hosted it on what space I have.
spreadsheet and I've hosted it on what space I have.
Same place as the one I used to have up there, so
the important link sticky will still point at the right location. I no longer
maintain the important links, so that will be up to Wes. All he will need to
change isthe credit to Dreven as the author, that's about it.
