Or you can try download it straight from sony. thats what i do.. hehe all you need is the launchpad.. for which SOE game doesnt matter. One Launchpad works on all SOE games.

I'm trying to turn off Norton Anti-Virus 05, but there doesn't seem to be an 'off'.

Do you have the Launchpad? if not download if from the SOE site. There is download link somewhere. if ya realy desperate change the command line interpreter after installation into:
F:\Program_Files\Sony\Station\LaunchPad\LaunchPad.exe" "/gamepatchpath:f:\Program_Files\Sony\SWG" /game:starwars

Try Windows Update and get the latest version of Windows Installer (3.1 came out not long ago). Maybe you have a corrupt instance of that and it's hosing things up.

I'll try that disable and re-boot. I DID find the launchpad thing, but I'm not seeing anything that seems to let me DL the entire game. I have my serial number from my CDs obviously... I figured there'd be something I need to use that with to verify, but there's no option related to DLing the whole game. I'll BRB, gonna reboot haha.

You have to change the command line interpreter as i posted above and then start the pad. it should start download then after the ToS and stuff showed up.

I get a lot of problems called in by my transcriptionists that are causedby Nortons 05 and especially fromthe firewall that you can get with it. The program is very effective, but it is not very user friendly if you do more than surf the web and use a word processor. If you can get it to allow you to use your pc the way that you want to use it and not the way that symantec wants you to use itthen you have won a huge battle. Disable the firewall, autoprotect, and the scriptblocker while trying to install. If you decide to replace your AVand you succeed in getting Nortons uninstalled and removed from the registry try using PCCillin or AVG. It is very easy to use and just plain better.
