Thread: The End of the Smuggler Revamp :(

Well it should be obvious to everyone now that the Smuggler Revamp we have waited for will NOT be taking place. Not only has the talk of the Revamp by the DEVs been killed, but after the latest HOC Chat it appears that GM will be headed in a different direction

Note: He does not say that he is looking into ANYTHING CU related, Smuggler Related, or Profession Revamp related.

as i understand it, they don't know, or don't want us to know what this next assignment team is.
My best guess is for the former with the optionnal fact that they don't want us to know that they don't know themselves 
That reminds me of the skipper of the titanic in the crappy fog... we don't know where we are going, but passengers don't know that we don't know, so everything should be fine and hopefully the fog will end at some moment.

They don't want us to know what his next assignment is because it is NOT the Smuggler Revamp and they want to prevent a Smuggler Riot.
They failed by just trying to conceal it.

This statement more then anything I think is what most of us are mad about. They have left us out in the cold so many times. Everything they have talked about in the last 2 months has made no mention of building a true re-vamp for any profession. It isgetting really, really old.

Well here are the things we know:
Smuggler revamp will be after CU
GreenMarine is a critical SOE resource
Given that the revamp is scheduled for after the CU. What makes you assume TH's statement even implies the revemp won't happen. I just do not see it.
The revamp is not next on SOE's plate so why shouldnt they use their resource (GreenMarine) working on the next critical item until it comes up on the schedule.
All that TH stated was he was working on JTL and soon will be assigned to a new team. You are reading the negative in a benign statement. We all know the revamp is not next, the loot and CU are.
Lets get in an uproar later if they state the revamp is off or we lose our resource when it comes up on the schedule.

I know why people are mad, I am a smugggler also. I am not happy about it.
Just everyone is reading something in those statements that is not there.
You can slam SOE for inaction but be fair. It is not productive to start a thread stating "End of smuggler revamp" when nothing like that was stated by SOE. Stay with the facts of the statement and stop saying "the sky is falling" unless you see it as a fact and not a wild interpretation of a statement.

Oh c'mon, be fair. When they said that GM would help us with the Smuggler revamp, they "meant it at the time." 
I didn't believe that we'd get a meaningful revamp back before GM got everyone all teary-eyed with his hopes and dreams, and I don't believe it now. Pacification, pacification, pacification.

I simply want an answer to the following question, from a Dev or someone at SOE, using one of the provided answers.
Will there be a Smuggler Revamp?
1. Yes, it will be Publish X.
2. Yes, but we have no idea when.
3. No, we don't have anything planned.
And then they can go back to ignoring this forum.

That's because they're not looking that far ahead, not necessarily because he's working on Smuggler Revamp. In short, don't read too deep into those conversations...
