Smugglers need to start rasing there prices to be in line with the other profession. Doctor buff's going 10 to 15k for 3 hours. When the slice we do last the life time of the weapon or armor.
With the cost of supplies going up and resources hard to get. Rasing our price should not surprize anyone.
I'm charging 10k per piece set's of 9 for 75k. Alot of people laugh till i explain about supplies or how doctor buff deal. Some of them have me do it at my price's some don't.
I've still got more business then i can handle. So Brother and Sister Smuggler's rasie your price's get paid for what your worth. If we all stand together we can get what we should get not what others think we need.
And one other thing, Were Smuggler's were in it for the money.
You charge what you charge, and I'll charge what I charge.
What is with the sudden influx of people trying to make people do stuff? It's pretty annoying, really.

The smugglers union strikes again
Selling slices at low prices destroyes the market, but can't say I hear myself saying " The union states that I have to charge x k credits per slice etc". I' ll always use the phrase " Pay what you think its worth". If the person pays me 500 credits, he is added to my cheap player list and I wont slice anything else from him. Of the 1000 different persons I ve sliced gear for only 2 have ended up on this list.
The Corbantis players usually pays a fair price and some even tip very good if they get the slice they are looking for.

This thread is probably the reason I should raise my slicing prices to 50k each.
So... would that make my unit larger than yours?... *whistles innocently*

I've been a smuggler and I have to say the resource requirements for smuggler do not even come close to rivaling that of a doctor. Last time I checked smugglers do not pay 10cpu for their resources because quality does not matter. Your resources are as easy to get as they ever have been even easier with the abundance of players including architects who make lots and lots of harvesters driving down prices so more people can harvest resources. I can understand a rise in price but not to 10k. You have no real grounds of raising prices that much.

your missing the point doctor charge what ever they want for a 3hour buff. Slicing last the life time of the piece. over the long haul 10k for a slice is cheaper then how many 100rd time you going to have to pay for those doctor buffs

Last time I looked Smugglers couldn't just throw a client's weapons into a factory to mass produce sliced weaponry. Last time I looked people were respectful to doctors and didn't get into dozens of arguments about a doctors stated prices or start ranting about how they didnt want to pay the full price because the buff did not meet their expectations. Last time I looked clients were not coming back to smugglers every 3 hours for a new slice.
But lets not just comparedoctors. Why not compare them with entertainer buffs? Or weaponry or armour. Having been a Master Weaponsmith I can tell you a great many things but the most important of all things is that the cost of any item or service has no correlation with the cost of resources, but the value of service provided and how much the customer is willing to pay.
