Thread: Caylin Your Assistance is Being Requested

Guys this is really no big deal. You get to carry more with less space used up.
I think you have it all wrong. According to the patch notes they made it worse by making you pull each tool out ofa crate in order to do one slice. That means you now need to pull out one clamp, one WUK or AUK and knife for each item to slice therefore taking up more space in your inventory and taking more steps to accomplish one slice. In the past you just needed to pull our your knives and the AUK/WUK's and clamps could stay in the crates and would be pulled out automatically.

Don't worry, it doesn't work, right now.
Nothing works right now...its patch day. That doesnt mean they wont try and get their "fix" working tomorrow. We should be worring.

When pulling laser knives from crates, smugglers notice that majority of times that the last knife from the crate only has one charge.
Also concerning laser knives, if they are autopulled from a crate in our inventory, entire knives which have 10 charges, are treated as a single charge. We are finding ourselves having to warn new smugglers to make sure they put their crates in a backpack to avoid seeing their laser knives disapear too rapidly.

Yes, I would really like an explanation. I really started enjoying slicing when I discovered this trick (months and months ago), and am loathe to go back to pulling out one at a time. It makes inventory management and the overall time it takes to do a large order a royal PITA. And as many others have said, it just seems arbitrarily mean.
This C-forum post is up. I got a response already that they are looking into this from a CSR.
Pub. 9 Change to auto-pull on slicing material crates = Overboard

This adds a ton of clicks to the slicing process and inventory management problems. This really hurts!
Could I get a bit of an explanation why this change is going in *like this*?? Instead of focusing on preventing laser knives from being auto-pulled?
Is there a chance that is what is happening... and that this is just bad documentation?
Please assist, the smuggler forums are NOT happy.
