Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing in regards to the crippling feature added to Smugglers in this morning's patch. I keep all my slicing tools crated inside a satchel in my inventory. I made sure I had not a single tool out of a crate, and then I sliced a few weapons. Behold, my tools were still removed directly from their respective crates. Hitchless.
Sincerely, Rion~M.Smuggler
So there it is, tested it numerous times and I see no change.
WHAT? You thought they were actually going to change something on Smuggler? You should've known better...

Thank God
This feature is the only good things smugglers have ever recieved in a patch, I almost cried when i saw that in the notes.

Thanks for the info. I'm stuck at work, and really wasn't looking forward to dealing with this when I got home.

The pet/vehicle from the toolbar thing isn't working either...alot of the patch notes arent working...that doesnt mean they arent going to start working tomorrow.
The DEVs need to clearly state that this is not going to happen. this never hit Test Center...adds nothing to the profession except needless tedium. Tools will still be created and stored in crates in the same quantity...there is no economic issue here. There is no balance issue. This does not make the profession harder to master ... at least not thru meaningful game play...but rather useless clicking that wasnt required before.

I am at work and can't test thiseither but my friends are telling me that this is the case. i guess some of the Jedi stuff went through but none or little of the rest. I suspect we may see either a roll back or they will get the rest on by later today or tomorrow. Just a guess though.

Give it time...
Apparently ALOT of what was supposed to go in didn't...
It looks like the Jedi stuff went live, but reading the Live Issues thread, it looks like some of that isn't even working. I look for an announcement later today from JustG stating that the patch is FUBAR and they're going to take a mulligan and try to repatch tomorrow or Thursday.

I thought they put this in because of the problem with laser knives being eaten up from one usewhen used from a crate. Did something change during my time off?

I seriously don't know what theyare thinking with this one. At least give usan explanation why they are doing it. Maybe we have been bitching too much about the muchneeded revamp and they wanted to punish us. My finger hurts as it is, don't make me click any more!!!!
Also has anyone had a chance to check this out?
Inventory
Equipping/un-equipping/transferring items now goes through the Command Queue. Equipping armor and weapons also has a delay associated with it. This is to prevent combat system exploits that were occurring
Is this going to be similar to waiting 15 seconds for your mount? This is another "improvement" that I don't understand.

The idea of these 'fixes' is to make the game more tedious and difficult hence more fun! I mean why leave the tools WHOSE QUALITY DOES NOT MATTER AT ALL in the crate to work with when I can have to click a few extra times to extract them from the crate? I mean that is the HEIGHT of fun!!! I mean why put in a fix that matters when tedium can be added? The Verant background of our devs is finally showing through very brightly and clearly!
Next we'll have 5 minute spawn times and static camps to have Big Fun with! I mean the combat revamp already is rumored to make it impossible to solo something as easy as Bolle Bol's so I can't wait to see what is next planned for smugglers. Maybe lets remove all combat advantages such as lastditch from smuggler. Oh wait, that's already planned! Horray! Improvements rock!
