Thread: A Poll On Smuggling and Risk

First of all, I wanna make something very clear. Straw polls on the forums are in NO WAY conclusive of anything. I realize this, and have said this many times in the past. Not only are we a small segment of the smuggling community, but demographic studies in this industry have shown that people who post regularly on these types of forums tend to be more hardcore than the average player. So any numbers in here need to be taken with an ENORMOUS amount of salt. Like a five pound bag's worth. But sometimes trends pop up and can act as a small measuring stick. I'm doing this out of curiousity, not to prove any points.

Secondly, let's keep debate and discussion OUT of the poll. This is just a sort of yes or no type of question.

Thirdly, I know this poll only asks the view of smugglers, not customers.

So the question? Many people have argued that smuggling needs a risk. Many others have said that said risk would hurt business. The poll is would you accept a hit to yoursalesof spices and sliced weaponsif it meant really smuggling (moving illegal goods from point a to point b) for players for money?

The problem is in the question. Will people take the risk of lossing business to smuggle if that means all they are doing is running delievery missions or will they risk it for a fun form of smuggling that
includes danger and something other then running from point a to point b.

I will vote yes if its the second choice but no if its the first since I can run delievery mission now.

I would give up an awful lot for that very thing. That's my goal ... alot of the stuff I've been thinking about today has to do with that very thing ... risk. Risk versus reward.

I would have to say yes ... with a disclaimer ... It must be done right. The higher the skill, the lower the risk. I like the 95% for crackdown (although I know some think it isn't enough risk).
