I don't know what its like on your server but there is a definate lack of certain tools on Farstar. At the present there are only 63 shock abosbant padding for sale in the whole galaxy and the lowest price on these is 200k

Finely crafted tools are also in short supply atm as well. Delicate triggers and boosters are way too comon atm, these are high lvl tools and are drooping more offten than fine tools as they drop from BH marks and fine tools do not.

We were promised that the tool drops would be reviewed after the system went live and I think its time to do it.

We're Charley Brown, the Dev's are lucy and the Smuggler revamp is the football.
Every time we think, this is the time were gona get to kick the football Lucy pulls it away at the last minute.

Finely crafted toolsets do drop from bh missions. I grabbed about 20 of these working my way up the investigation tree.

FCT's and Trandoshan infraframes are common in the middle of the invest tree, it's just that nobody stays in the middle of that tree long enough to become a true supplier. They need to just mix it up and let all of them drop on MBH missions, along with increasing their drop rates on high end PvE like nightsisters, mauraders, and such.

Shock aborbent paddings are just plain rare. They are now 340k+ on Bria, and there's really only around 50 of them on the vendors total. That won't last long at all with all the armor break slice requests I get.

I thought the NGE couldn't be any worse than the CU, but I was wrong.

QFE.Won't happen though, because the BHs are already whining along the line of "allI got was Smuggler tools". I can hear them already crying "our loot got nerfed again. Now we get only tier 2 slicing components..."

Saw them go from 350k one week to 500k. Now can't find them on the bazzar.

With all due respect to the resident BH/smugglers here - I don't mean to give offense, and I'm glad you got a steady supply of slicing components, but your experiences when looting them are pretty irrelevant for most of us. I suspect that BH/smuggler wasn't too common before the CU, and even though it's FOTM since then, I doubt a lot of people will want to change half of their template and take up a profession that otherwise wouldn't interest them just to get access to these components.

Unless I misunderstood the OP, the request is for looking at theloot tablesfor the rest of us, all the poor non-BH folks for whom drop rates of these items are usually well below 1%. When they implemented these slices SOE announced that they might have to tweak the drop rates further down the line (I think it was GM who said that).

Well, we are now FAR down the line already, and it should be pretty clear that drop rates for all non-BH's are extremely poor, and downright inacceptable compared to BH missions.

Again, in no way intended as a flame, just trying to put things in perspective here

None taken. I think what Iawo was trying to point out is that at least the finely crafted toolsets are harvested by BHs en masse and thus should be readily available to Smugglers. Whether it is a good idea that Smugglers rely on BHs for Smuggler components is another question entirely. Problem with components dropping as loot is that noone except us Smugglers holds them into high regard. So all non-Smuggler loot who... hunters will object an increase in dropping numbers.

Yeah, that's definitely what I meant. I have no objections to increasing the drop rates on non-BH mobs, in fact I would prefer it. I used my respec because of those drop rates on non-BH mobs. They simply need to obtainable during smuggler missions instead of BH missions, that's all there is to it. Unfortunately we don't have smuggler missions yet.
