3k per crate of 25 is a decent price. The only time I paid more than that was an emergency situation. I was in a mall and a guy wanted me to slice a full suit of composite. I didn't have any AUKs on me, and the vendor next to me was selling them for 15k

To satisfy my customer, I bit the bullet and paid the price.

I sell my AUK's & WUKs fer 5k a crate. I am considering lowering that price, especially on AUKs as they're not selling much, but my WUKs sell just fine at that price really. Clamps though, I was selling fer 7500, and could not keep in stock, just bumped to 8k a crate and they are still moving w/o missing a beat.

I run a smuggler supply vendor on Bria and sell my auks/wuks for 3k/crate *BUT* I would suuper anyone who decided they wanted to charge more. If I didn't feel I had to sell then to keep people coming to my shop I wouldn't - even though they are only 20grind metal and 10 chem each they take way too long to bake in the factory. I've gone to running 2 factories because if I find myself having to run off an unplanned run of WUKs cause someone came in and bought me out my one factory would be chugging away an my vendor would be emmpty of the other things too long.

120s per WUK in a factory = 50mins each crate

Today I woke up and saw 40-50 crates sold (AUK+WUK) in the last 24hours. To meet that demand regularly (and lucky for me its not) I'd have to constantly be running "a factory and a half". And on top of that you have to manage the mostly equal demand for Clamps, as well as the secondary demand for survival knives and the lower demand for PLKs.

and yes.. i *know* other profs make things that take longer, or have to deal with multiple component runs, or run 6 factories instead of 2, so I'm not complaining that we have it so tough, just that it doesn't feel like at 3k per 25 or even 6k or 10k per 25 it always pays off when I could be making survival knives or molecular clamps isntead.

All that math stuff and grumpyness aside, point is, just be happy people are making these things for you -- no matter what the price.

Am I spoiled at these prices? I dunno, maybe, but that's what I expect to pay. I've OFTEN found Clamps on the bizaar in Theed for 5000 cr per crate of 25 andWUKs / AUKs for 1000 (rare) but I HAVE found them at those prices. When I do find them that low, I buy em and stock my storage droids and my house. I have a Knife/Clamp factory that I'll use in a pinch if I can find (or get from aguildmate for free) REALLY cheap metal.

Minesome copper for Weapon Upgrade kits, and some chemical for armour kits (I usually get fibreplast). Then just search for a friendlly armour and weaponsmith and get them to make a schematic for you, then stick it in a Equipment Factory, a day later you will have a 1000. I have never yet asked a weapon/armour smith who wasnt happy to make me a schematic.

True up to a point but it's better to spend the points on Novice Weaponsmith and Armorsmith when the resources run out. You can mine your own materials, make new schematics when you can't find that specific element. I have my own havesters and equipment factory and make my own.

All I rely upon is customers to slice for.
