I'm not talking about using it in PvP to peeve someone off....but I'd like to hear of different situations in which you used FD creatively, or where you had a really fun time with it. Maybe we should give those smugglers who have used it creatively FDA approval... "Feign Death Award".
My most recentincident is certainly not overly creative or original, butit was a boatload of fun to watch!
I was on Dathomir a few nights ago working on my rifle xp (and bank account) by taking Enraged Rancor missions from the Science Outpost. One of my missions took me very close to one of the Sith bases, and it turned out there was a group of about 10-15 Siths standing around about 70m from my Rancor nest. As Master Rifleman too, I like to kill as many Sith as possible because the resource loot is a quick 6K on the bazaar. So I was having a tough time deciding who to kill first when I thought "Hey... why not both together!". So I blasted the Rancor lair down below 50% so all would spawn and immediately led all of theminto the middle of the Sith group and FD'ed. Talk about a firefight! Since everybody looked busy, I waited a few secs and stood up. I dont remember if I was re-aggroed or not, but if so, it was only one guy. So I moved away a decent distance and just picked off the Siths one at a time while the Rancors beat on them.
Butthe best part was watching the fireworks fly after the party started.

I've had so many, I'll just list one for now...
I have a Master Smuggler / Droid engineer on Bloodfin. After making a droid delivery - for 30,000 credits (Yes, I will deliver for that amountbecause ANY salein thisindustryis a worth-while sale) - I headed back to Theed. All I wanted to do was get back to my shop outside of Kor Vella to unload my Droid Engineering suit that I had spent6+ Million Space-bucks for... Although I typically store it and don't wear it out, the purchaser didn't know what he wanted until he saw what I had - so I had to build items there at his place...

Ok, so I'm head'n back to Theed, and I get stopped by a Storm Trooper. I think, OH great. That's the one thing I need at this point - but, REST ASSURED! I SHOULD BE FINE BECAUSE I'M A MASTER SMUGGLER AND SHOULD AVOID A SCAN. Right? WRONG...
"You have been detected carrying contraband and are now flagged as an Overt memeber of the Rebel Alliance.." ect ect.
Great. Inside Theed, Overt. No buffs, but I did remember to bring at a shooter along with me - don't leave home without a trusty fast (1.0s) scout blaster. I bought my ticket previously, so as I'm run'n up the shuttle bay think'n ALMOST home free... Some "k00l dh00d" with his "iWin-temploiter" TKA4xxx Rifleman4xxx CM-Master hits me with disease and a follow-up mind-bleed.
GREAT. I promptly turned hit with low-blow + followed up with panic-shot. Low-blow hit, butmissed panic
Well, because I didn't want my droid suit to get decayed, I decided to take a dive. No chance at fighting back against someone I couldn't possibly out-gun.
Well, this guy jus simply wouldn't leave me alone and repeatedly shot at me and applied mind-poison / disease for the next 20-30 minutes. Eventually there were enough Rebels that showed up to take the guy out, but he was hell-bend on causing damage to me.
Funny thing though - because I was FD'd, it locked him in combat, so he apparently wasn't able to /peace out to meditate
LOL what a punk the guy was..
Anyway - Got back up a lil while later, dusted myself off, then transported to Kor Vella. Knowing I'd get mind-incap'd as soon as I landed by someone, I quickly boozed up with some good-old Vasarian Brandy. Upon landingI was able to burst-run outa the starport and head for the hills
Again, Feign Death has saved me countless times. I was onceable to go for four months without dieing. A definite asset to a Master Smuggler

Not a clever experience, but I had an FD macro for a while that first shouted "Ohh.. You got me!" before the feign.

I love feign death, i mastered Smuggler ages ago without getting buffed once thanks to FD. I would health shot a quenker, follow it up with a coupleof shots and hit FD. I would lay there watching the quenker slowly bleed to death, as soon as the health bar was low enough, get up and fire away. Took me an absolute age to Master Smuggler, but i was so determined to do it without buffs. Too many times i would forget to put my speeder away and they would savage it while i lay there waiting for my HAM to regenerate, thats one lesson i definetly learnt.

I have a lot of fun with feign death. I am a smuggler, but I never wear my smuggler title (I wouldn't be much of a smuggler if I did now would I?), I instead wear "novice doctor" which I consider to be my legitamite business "front". Anyway, so when I go out and hunt and adventure with people, I try to stay mostly out of harms way, shooting at distance with my pistol, and healing my comrads. So generally when I feign death, it really *is* a feign death, as in people believe I'm dead or at least incapped.
One of my favorite ones was on Dathomir hunting with a big group of about 10. I was mostly standing behind big buffed brutes and healing them, occasionally getting off a few shots with my pea-shooter. But a big ole Enraged Rancor decided it was hungry for some Twi'lek meat so it came busting through the "line" at me. One of my comrades excalimed "Holliday is in trouble!" and a couple of people rushed to my aid only to see me go down in a heap. There was some talk of rezzing and re-buffing and such, and then to the amazement of everyone, I just stood back up, lol. Some of the reactions were priceless like "how did you do that?" or "omg! you must be a smuggler! I had no idea". Fun times

I mastered Pistoleer AND Smuggler, way back in the day (over 1 year ago) by running out to the agrilat swamps (it wasa good 10 minute hike), finding a spawn of humbaba, bleeding them, and laying down looking at the stars until they were dead. That seemed to take forever, but it gave me a lot of time to contemplate the star destroyers that would occasionally appear in orbit...

I think the funniest, also tragic, event surrounding Feign Death usage was in the geonosis dungeon. I'ma tripple master, but at the timejust had Pistoleer and Smuggler. I and my group were about half waydown throughthe dungeon when I accidentally hit fan shot. Theresult wasn't pretty, but thankfully I was able to just lie there as my far more combat ablecompanions ran around screaming as they were torn limb from limb.
After reading that, it sounds more terrible than funny.. but I was laughing at the time anyway. I wonder what says about me as a person

I have had on several occasions, whileFD,good samaritans run bye and try to heal me. Then go wth? how come you aren't getting up. It always gives me a chuckle when people stand there and try to decide why there is a dead guy laying there.
