In this post we turn the chuckle upside down-
Please post odd intances- funny bits- things you done while under the influence in REAL LIFE that were somehow impacted by the existance of Star Wars. Star Wars has obviously played some significant part in all of our lives (or else we would just sign up with another mmorpg) and I thought it would be cool to share them.
I have MORE than a few but I will start with this one:
My son (6) is in a music class and they were celebrating their last day of school. I wasn't able to go to the party because I had to work- (thanks to the pressures of THE MAN). I work a lot- and worry if I really have any influence over myboys.
So when I got home my wife says to me, "Your son!"
Now, for those dads that don't know- when your kids do something bad they become "YOUR" son/daughter.
"Your son played a song for the class at the end of theparty." my wife says.
"Really? Which one?" I said- Knowinghe knew a couple- "Twinkle Twinkle lil' Star" and the like. I had taught him a few songs but he would NEVER play those in class- right?
"STAR WARS" my wife replied accusingly.
"For real!?" 
Was it the Empires theme or the one they play at the end of Ep. 4?"
Was it the Empires theme or the one they play at the end of Ep. 4?" "I don't know which one- but he played it VERY well. He was hitting the keys perfectly and playing it with emotion and EVERYTHING. All the other parents thought it was really cool. His teacher was very impressed."
"Whoa-" I had showed him how to play the themes but I never thought he would be using it to show off to kids at school. I couldn't have been prouder of him. For those wondering it WAS the one at the end of Ep. 4- that's my boy Rebel to the end.
As far as my younger son (3) he has the Star Wars bug too- I was driving and pulled in quickly behind another carand my youngest said- "I have you now!"
Which cracked me the hell up.
Maybe I have too much of an influence over my boys....

Excellent! Sounds like you have a very talented son, not to mention very intelligent ones!

Well, I am actually afraid to admit this because it will show just how big of a nerd I am....
Anyway, when I was growing up I would literally try to watch Star Wars every single day. I spent a lot of time in the hospital and I would watch the movie every chance I could. It was a great escape from the hospital bed and into a totally different galaxy with all kinds of creatures and people.
Anyway onto my story - the specifics of which I do not remember personally but the story was told to me recently by my mother.
Apparently, at about age 6 I learned how to operate my parent's VCR. I would wake up every morning really early between 5:00 and 6:00 in the morning and start watching Star Wars. The problem was that we lived in a tiny house and the noise from the movie would wake up my parents and sister. So, I was scolded and told that I couldn't watch the movie in the morning any longer.
So, as the story goes, the next morning my folks were in bed and they heard some noises. However, it was not the sound of the television. Instead, they heard what sounded to them like a bunch of people having a conversation with each other. Both my parents just lay there in bed wondering who in the heck was having a conversation in their living room. Finally, after about 5 minutes of just listening, my mother walks into the living room to see what was going on. When she got to the room she saw me sitting just a few feet away from the television watching Star Wars. However, the volume was turned off on the television. The voices that she had heard were not "voices" at all. It was just one voice -mine.
From watching the movie so frequenlty I had memorized all of the dialogue from all of the characters. I was sitting in front of the television watching the movie with no sound and I was reciting all of the lines for all of the characters! I guess I thought I would not wake anyone up if I turned the volume off on the television. I was wrong.
So, that is how big of a Star Wars nerd I was 20 years ago and sad to say things haven't gotten much better. I could probably still recite all of the lines to the movie

Awesome. Yeah, the Han plugging Greedo scene got re-enacted several times with the make-believe I played as a kid. Variations on a theme baby.

Mmmmm ever be sitting on your couch, with the remote just that far out of reach and thinking "Force Pull"
Or sitting in the Gym after working out, and turning around to see a guy with an extreme case of back hair walkpast and you blurting out, "Chewbacca!"
Or going to your prom and wishing you could dance half as good as your character on Star Wars Galaxies could?

When i was little and my family was watching one of the Ewok movies, it was the one that had a big spider i think. Well, anyway, when the big spider or whatever appeared i ran out of the room and got a toy gun. Apparently i wanted to kill it.
Also, everytime it snowed my brother and i would get dressed up as Han and Luke when they were on Hoth.

Yes i have many times. Ive also been known to wave my hand while trying to convince someone that i am right. Sometimes however i find the approach vader took on the corvette in ep4 allittle more effective *makes a tight fist around underlings neck*

*grin* Oh I know YOUR bit too well but they are fun to have as well though

LOL that was good. And yes, I have noticed that whenever I get home and my son has done something outragous, it always "your son", never "our son". Here'smy influence on my son...
About 2 years ago, my son and were playing with our toy lightsabers after watching Episode V (which is the usual thing with us) whilesome of friends were hanging out(my kid was 4 then). We're goofing off, then, out of the blue, my son crosses our lightsabers and saids in a low voice "Daddy... I... am your SON". All my friends and I just start busting up laughing. Gewd, I love it.

It's probably quite a frightful thing to say, but if I ever have kids, I'd be soproud if I managed to indoctrinate them with Star Wars at an early age

lol, Hotdog it sounds like your son is well on his was to master musician!
5 guild members in my guild live in my town in RL, we started the guild together and have all been friends for years. Now 2 of them work at the bar we like to hang out in and it has now become our rebel cantina. Here is where this gets funny. We were all there one night talking about SWG over drinks when this guy walks by and asks: "You guys play STW? what server?" so we all fliped out and told him, but then he asks "Are you guys rebel or Imp?" "Rebel" we say. he tells us he is an Imp so we all make the /duel motion (including the Imp) and tell him it is a rebel bar (just joking) we all had a good laugh over it. Tryed to get him to convert all night telling him to join the rebelion while he told us the Empire needed us! It was to funny....
