blue glowy "retirement"

i can only assume this came because they were sick of all the glowy smugglers poking and prodding them even after they thought they got rid of you

I'd be pissed off if I were them.

This is a silly decision, and I agree, its to shut up potential dissenters.

That's a bunch of crap! I agree with the thought initially...I mean there are a lot of old Corr. out there, and the more they change things the more they create, I'm sure it might be a little crowded. Some new Corr. might also feel their role is mitigated by having their predecessor there as if they never left.

However, wait...big however,I think they should definitely be allowed to contribute if they still can. Ithink they should get some limited access to thesecret forumsand be allowed to add an opinion here and there. At the least I hope that the current corr. continue to keep them involvedif they so desire. Maybe current corrs. could grant thread access to a blue-glowie as they see fit...now that would be a good compromise.

I'm not going to post anything more than an "I'm not happy with this at all", at this time.

One other thing to note. I know they stated something in the past about terms for Correspondents. If that is the case, then there's a few that they need to move along. If they're going to shove these guys out the door, there's a few that need to follow them.

Conspiracy theory or not, you can't deny that the willingness of Blue Glowies to post their dissenting views (and I'm not really talking about Caylin here) at least made their decision easier.

One finaly note, I thought the Blue Glowies are in the Sandbox. The Sandbox docs are in the C-Forum. What the hell are they doing now?

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

I admit I was surprised when I realised that Blue Glowies still had access to the C-forum. The forum becoming harder and harder to manage with the more peoples in it, the issue of enforcing the NDA, and all the points you mentioned JediArashi. They want 1 correspondent per profession, not having to deal with a whole team.

I know this won't be a popular point of view and I perfectly see why, I loved knowing Smuggler Caylin still had access and was able to back Wes up, but I think the Devs did a mistake back then allowing Blue Glowies access and now they are fixing it. Of course doing it now they will get grief for it that would have been avoided if they had enforced that rule from the start, but ah well.

And before thinking it is because of "us", maybe some Blue Glowie were less civilised and constructive in their critism than Smuggler Caylin and Ryutek. Not having access, I have no clue of course.
