Hey, I got Master Smuggler today, I read the stickies but couldn't find anything helpful.

My toon is a Rebel, I've got positive Reb faction and negative Imp faction. I was hoping to sell some of my extra Rebel FP's to an Imp recruiter, but it wouldn't let me. Is this normal? If so, then what's the freakin point of being able to sell faction points?

If you want to sell faction to the Imperial recruiter, first resign from the Rebellion. Yes, you do lose all of your ranks from this. Once neutral, go hit up the Imperial recruiter and start ratting out your rebel friends.

Most faction selling mentioned in the FAQ is of the buying favors sort.

I still would like to see this changed. I thought the whole point to the sellout skill was to let us be "go-betweens" as it is now reb recuiters wont talk to me AT ALL so not only can i NOT sell them FP i cant BUY from them either. And being Neutral/civilian is NOT an option, why even bother buying or selling faction for either side if all you can deal with is 200 at a time?

Simply put all I can do is add. I'm an Imp Colonel and my exchange rate is roughly 118 to 100 (sell at what you want but make it worth your wild maybe 125 and up!!!). If I have the faction "on me" from blasting rebs in deep space and in hitting npcs' in Cnet (yeah WHAT I can do what I want don't complain because you rebs can't touch me now....muhahahhahaha....*cough cough*). Anyway say I have 10k -12k saved up I charge 60 - 70 per point sometimes, it depends on my mood.

You would be loosing hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of creds if you dropped your rank. Sell-out to your friends man and make some good creds.

Well I tried this, and when I resigned not only did I lose my ranks, but I lost ALL of my Reb faction points.

So how do you sell faction points? Do you hafta be neutral and do missions from the faction mission terminals? If so, Devs, that's pretty lame.

I never messed with this at all, how is this done? Selling faction points to players I am a rebel by the way.

Anyone can do that. I'm talking about the ability you get (I believe at Underworld III) that lets you "Sell faction points to opposing faction recruiters for cash."

The ability you are speaking of Mad is the "Sell Out" ability and most likely no one is going to be able to answer your question as it is basically a useless skill. You will only get about 20 credits per faction point doing this. You have to be nuetral for it to work, as the imperial recruiter will not talk to you if you are a Rebel. When you go neutral, you lose all but 1000 of your Rebel faction points and your rank(have fun grinding it back). There are a couple of other kickers here... 1. If you have too many negative Imperial FP, they won't talk to you either and 2. I think that there was a post just after the GCW changes saying that this may be broken now anyway.

How do you sell FP to players? I have never done it and never had anyone ask me to either.
