Wes, here are 4 questions for you. Some of them may require some "snooping" on your part, and others you might be able to answer quickly. Either way, I guess the point is to get your "take" on where we stand now. I am not asking for "gospel" just your opinion as someone a little closer to SOE than the rest of us
1) Have GM's assignments & projects regarding Smuggler Content been absorbed (at least temporarily) by another Dev?
2a)Does GM's departure add any urgencytoaddressingthe Smugglerissues post-Pub 19? I am referring to pulling other assets and resources away from other issues/professions in order to quickly address outstanding issues generated by Pub 19 which was the supposed "start" of the Smuggler Revamp.
2b)Does GM's departure add any urgencytothe Smuggler Revamp itself? Since Pub 19 supposedly saw the "start" of the Smuggler Revamp with the new Slicing system, I am referring to pulling other assets and resources away from other issues/professions in order to be able to continue introducing elements of the Smuggler Revamp in a timely manner.
3) Realistically, does GM's departure set us back (content wise) many months? I am referring to the work that was in progress, and whether someone else is able to pick it up and run or if there will be a substantial "re-learning" process.
4) Has someone already been hired to replace GM? I noticed there is no Position Announcement for a Developer on the SOE employment page.
Disclaimer: This post is in no way intended to be a flame toward anyone, including Wes or the now-departed GM. The questions below are phrased in such a manner as to allow Wes to answer them with a simple "Yes" or "No", taking into accountthat SOE is most likely not going to part with any details with which Wes could elaborate. I am simply asking Wes to answer based on his ownexposure to information, not on policy or procedure.
EDIT: Changed the title so it wouldn't sound insincere

You have two number 2's and they are rather similar... was that intentional?

Another question:
Do the correspondants have any information on the actual number of developers that work on SWG?

While I doubt that those specific questions will be answered, what I'd like to seeis a post byPR with an official assessment of the situation. Obviously, the whole lot of the smuggler community (as well asthe squad leaderand ranger communities) are going to feel the sting of this revelation, and with nerves being the way they are lately, this news of GM leaving is not really helping to ease tensions.
Of course, though, the chances of that happening are about the same as a snowballs chance of survival for more than 10 seconds in hell, so.. yeah.

Yes, might have potential! I just read "community oriented" then I passed out. Does such a thing exist?

Hmm.. hope that game gets off the ground. NCSoft is a good company, and with GM in there, it would probably kick ass, no matter what it is.

TomoRainer... lol, when I read that... I just laughed my head off... Thanks for emailing him.
Though I have heard that Blair was a good guy. The last thing I read from him was the CU update pages, but he seemed to be pretty knowledgable and hopefully he and White take the initiative.
Thanks GreenMarine, and Tomo for writing to him.
