Smuggler is on of the worst professions out there. I hate to say it but it is. We have absolutly no fighting skills (that dont require master pistoleer to be any good) and now with food people hardly have a use for spice. We are pretty much a worthless profession and you are now pushing us back until publish 11. Thats over 3 months away. PLEASE give us a little something. Not just a jedi spice but yet maybe a new weapon or tool in the death watch bunker. Or even give us the ability to choose what we want to slice for. Just please give us something small to hold us, because frankly smuggler is a waste of skill points.

I made8 million credits today alone selling faction points/perks. Im not entirely sure, but that to some would be considered 'worth something'. The only waste here is the space you are taking up here.

Lets see, did you actually enjoy selling those FP? Was it FUN? Ok now you have a bunch of credits, What FUN things are you going to spend them on?
Hmmm. I guess if its all about the credits smugglers don't need any changes.

I'm sure he actually did enjoy selling those FP's.It was his contribution to the GCW, someone wise once said, "The economy is just one moreform of the GCW." Yea it cost that person money, (what smuggler would do that for free?) but now they can drop two newbases, and that is adding to the PvP situation, which is fun. He is taking a very active role in the GCW on his server, now maybe it isn't with a blaster, but still, his single action could throw the balance of power on a planet. So again I say, I am sure that it was fun for him to sell those FP's.
[edit] Haden, if you want to give up smuggler, look me up in game, I will slice all your stuff for cheapcuz I love your shop!! (I have spentquite a few million at that stop...)

But what about the Neutral Smugglers (and non-Neutral Smugglers that haven't done the grind to Colonel or just haven't gotten into selling Faction)? They can't sell Faction (which is not really a Smuggler thing, it's just a result of a minimal ability of the Smuggler to buy Faction points and the addition of the Delegate Faction command). So maybe they want something added that's "worth something", eh?
Edit: By the way, I'm not agreeing that Smuggler is a waste of skill points, I happen to enjoy being a Smuggler, just for being a Smuggler. But it would be nice to get something in the next Publish...

Im becoming a Smuggler solely for the Role Playing value. It is the most RP oriented profession out there (other than a Jedi) and as much as i would love to hold my own in a fight...im willing to give it up for a good RP session.

Screw the one starring morons. I dont just sell fp, i have a blast playing the smuggler role when it comes to slicing and favors. I'm one of those guys whos friends with everyone, and acts as a fence for more than just drugs. Any prof is what you make of it, if you dont like it, kiss off and do something else. We'll get the fix soon enough, just dont go calling any prof a waste, let alone this one.

Agreed. And i would like to appologize to the original poster for my harsh response to their opinion, especially without explaining myself more. We need to focus, as a profession, on not tossing idle complaints about, but instead work together to affect change. Amazing how often group dynamicsfrom a videogame parallel with reality.
