Thread: Smugglers Pack schematic
This is just an "Idea" for cool high end loot for smugglers.
Kind of like the Executioners Hack schematic, the scythe blade schematic, or the other Crafters belts and aprons schematics etc...
What if there was a Schematic for a "Smuggler's Back Pack"
That could only be crafted by Master Smugglers?
My idea is based on the fact that your "underworld skills" will some day include skills to Bribe people/ smooth talk/ slip past or go unnoticed. These would be the skills that get you through checkpoints without being caught. I dont know what these skills are going to be called but for now I will just call them "missing underworld skills"
This pack would still hold 50 items, but would Increase those "missing Underworld skills." (kind of like the lightweight back packs that increses melee and ranged defenses)
so in theory it would have +25 "missing underwold skill", +10 spice assembly, +5 spice experimentation
This pack would increase your chances of not being scanned, or getting out of a scan that is in progress. (plus give a bonus to your spice! We need better spice!)
When you wear it and have all your controband in your pack, you would have a much better chance to have this happen:
RZ-543 begings scanning you for contraband
you attempt to smooth talk RZ-543
you have succesrully smooth talked RZ-543!
RZ-543 says "This is not the smuggler we were looking for, move along citizen"
Just an idea, has it been thought of before? Do you think its a good idea or a bad one?

If I can learn how to make a Deadeye decoder using junk I found off meatlumps and thugs. you can learn how to make a back pack.
OR, maybe the schematic requires an existing back pack as one of the components....
so it's more of a "Modification" to an existing pack. Smugglers are the Kings of modifying things!
Stupid forums, posting my post when it is only half posted. *sigh*

Thats what I think of when smooth talking a ST
Yeah, I'm a pistoleer and I have to have someone craft my featherweight pistol for me. So make it a master tailor only schem, maybe dropped off a high level quest or even off the up and coming smuggler quests with the revamp. I really like the idea, I think it would be fun to have my own smuggler pack. Would have to make a way that only smugglers could use it, make you need a cert for it or else everyone will be walking around with backpacks that smuggle themselves. Great idea though. My thoughts would be maybe to have it increase smuggle skills that may come up in the revamp since right now the only thing that would be worth it would be to increase feign death, and that really isn't much help right now. Plus's to any smuggling skills we get would be really cool though.

I think the Tailors should be the ones to make something like this. Why not give smugglers the ability to "slice" backbacks. This would add a compartment to give a + to avoiding scans for anything in the compartment. Similar to how a cargo poket works, when you put it ina backpack.
just thought this would be a little different, and just for smugglers.

I was going to suggest slicing back packs, but then everyone would do it.

Slicing them would make about as much sense as cutting wires on a stone knife.. I have no problem with it using slicing skills.. but for the sake of not sounding silly lets just call it 'modyfing'
