Well, after reading so much on the CU, I decided to get back to normal banter...or as normal as it gets here.

So who is your smuggler inspiration...or the inspiration for your character in general?

My favorite Smuggleris Talon Karrde, hands down one of the smartest smugglers in Star Wars.

I really have alot of inspirations for my character

Jigun, from the Lupin series, He is a criminal and a helluva shot with a pistol...plus he has a cool fedora

Max Sterling, From the Robotech/Macross Saga, An Ace pilot, with blue hair. He is quiet and as deadly with his fists as he is with his Veritech/Valkyrie

Mat Cauthon, from the WoT books, a gambler and a great military tactician, very lucky man and good at getting away from the most life threatening situations, Ladies man....and bit of a smart-ass. Also is a bad arse with a quarterstaff.

Thus the inspirations for Jigan Sterling (Master Smuggler/Master Pikeman) and leader of The Pirates of Obroa-skai, underworld criminal organization.

Oh hell yeah! Max Sterling kicks ass!
'Course... Roy Fokker was pretty cool as well. Even if he did die.
Though Zor Prime was probably my favorite character... or one of them. Though he didn't come in until the Invid series (can't remember the title of that one).

I really didn't have an inspiration. I just sort of randomly became a Smuggler somehow. Most things in my life are like that, random and pointless but still somehow turns out good in the end.

Myself. I tend to get into and out of situations based on sheer luck and cajones more than any one else I know.

Seriously, you know how everyone's luck is like I rollercoaster? Mine is more exagerated. Its not always good or bad. Its always extremely bad or extremely good, and I don't think it would be wise to list examples. Unless you guys really, really want me to.

One day long, long ago...

I was working in the local movie theater, and had just recieved a bonus for being checked by a company employee(who I didn't know worked for the company) and doing everything right at the register.

I was invited to a girl's birthday party later that day(we were both fairly attracted to each other), when I went to the party a few days later, I found out she had a boyfriend...

...who became a friend of mind for a little while.

When driving to her party, some ass would come up next to a car in the next lane, and slow down next to it, thus slowing down the flow of traffic. I finally managed to weave through the cars a little and pass the idiot, then flipped him off...

... then I saw in my review mirror how pissed he got, and realized he'd started to chase me, we ended up going around 75 mph in medium traffic through a 35 mph zone...

... with no cops around(both good and bad, no tickets, but no one to get this jerk off my ass)...

...so I went down a side road that was less crowded and pulled a bootleg-180, then turned the tables on him and became the chaser, this both surprised the moron and made him panic...

...I got bored and went on to the party.

1.5 years later...

I was working in a motel, when I got the strangest call in the morning(I worked the night shift, 11PM -7AM), from some random girl...

... who's phone number I managed to gain through a little talking(know anyone else who can change a wrong number call into a new girl's phone number? )...

... who turned out to be the type of girl I call a "ol' chicken box"*, so I avoided all contact after I found this out.

Satisfied?

Oh, I'm also as much of a Smartass in game as I am in real life.

*Ol' Chicken box, the type of girl that gives off the feeling that everyone just comes by and drops thier bone in.
