1) Should smugglers get to expirement when making spices?

2) Should smugglers get to use port wine and other foods that enhance assembly/expirementation?

3) Should smugglers get to create a spice that effects the quality of a slice?

Should the quality of the above spice be dependant on the level of smuggler creating it?

1.) No, Smuggler's should not be able to make spice in the first place, we should be getting it from other sources and then smuggling it... We're smuggler's, not meth lab chemists.
2.) See 1.)
3.) See 2.)
4.) All of the above.

I agree with you, however, if we are to be saddled with spice I'd like to be able to experiment.

considering that spice doesnt really fit into any other profession (docs are more legit type profession) i dontreally mind being able to craft it. I think it would be nice to be able to experiment on spice much like doc buffs and chef foods can be experimented on. It only makes sense to include spices into that field. Spices are clearly "drugs" in the star wars world and like in the real world the quality of the drug depends on the amount of tinkering that went on in its creation. I think maybe soe want to avoid this amount of imerssion in such shady area of the game (remember spices wernt going to be included at all before the community spoke out against it) i'm all for expirementation on spice.

Should there be a spice that improves a slice or the chances of getting a better slice NO! sorry but i dont think something like that has a place in slicing. I dont wanna have to be taking drugs just to get better slices. Way to go with slicing is to create a system that takes parts from the current and creates soemthing more in depth like perhaps the hacking sections or lockpicking sections from Anachronox. something that requires a lttle skill on the players behalf. although it shouldnt be totaly dependable on the players skill, only partialy.

i think smugglers should just smuggle the crap and let someone else worry about the quality

Yes, I agree that there isn't really any other profession that should be crafting spices... least of all the doctors (they get enough business with buffing...)

My point, and the point of many others, is that spices should come from some NPC source and smugglers should be able to attain them via smuggling missions or whatnot... we should be the gateway, not the source.

yes, yes, and no.

I think spices should be experimentable, but I think the ranges should be rather low because it seems silly for us to be resource whoring.
