Since new smuggler/slicing changes have come into effect ive seen slicing components running 1-3 mil each. EACH!!!! Im sick that SOE has to make everything a loot drop, its nothing more than a money sink and people are getting ripped off. Cant believe people would charge so much for needed components in the first place. We are now another profession being taken advantage of by loot whores and afk macro people.

I think it was stupid to make slicing components loot drops, now instead of charging 5-10k for a slice we will be charging 10 times more. New player will not be able to afford these prices. Hell some smugglers will not be able to afford these prices.

Am i the only that sees a problem here?

You have jedi needing pearls = 3-6 million each.

You hace WS needing tisses = 500k-3 mil per set.

I can go on and on.......... But you get the picture.

This is just sad. I hope im not jumping the gun here, but what ive seen so far its not a pretty picture for slicing.

I am very disappointed at this time.

I do loot my own btw, but in 2 days ive managed to get 4 pieces after steady hunting/grinding on various npc's

I love the component system, but this loot idea is fundamentally flawed... take for instance, that Black Sun helmet... I have accumulated over 3 million pilot prestige trying to get it, and still have not succeeded... Loot is a good idea, but not something to base a profession around.

However, its just a matter of time before the loot drops change and these components and their prices drop down considerably... (in my opinion that is!)

Getting this loot gives me something to do and reasons to get groups organized to go do some of this upper level content.

I like how rare and valuable these components are. Good slices were VERY rare in the Star Wars cannon. I don't think every Jim-Bob should be able to get one, yet I also feel that the drop rate is enough to allow a non-rich person to get something nice sliced every now and again instead of every f*cking day.

well pfffuuhh i got then some love from the devs... still got 50 AUKs and 75 WUK crates in my alts vendor

salvaged after july 5th ... wow some nice millions

I swear if they make these components common as hell, it is going to water down my content in this game. I would MUCH rather go tackle hard enemies to get this stuff than to being able to kill Murmur thugs for an hour and get 20 of them, then have to go out and peddle my slicing services for 10k because that is all it is worth on the market.

Hard fights. Rare parts. Rare slices. Nice prices.

I made the effort to tell people on the trade forum the elite drops were worth at max 200k and people are selling them for that.
