Just saw that, starting in '07, Lucas is going to start releasing one movie a year in some new digital 3D movie format. Wondered if anyone else had seen this or what people's reactions were. And since this is my home-away-from-Dant, what my fellow Smugglers opinions were.
I know many of us would like George to stop messing with the movies, but I guess seeing that Star Destroyer pass right over my head as ANH opens would be pretty sweet. Now if only we find a way to make it "technically impossible" for Han to fire first.
*EDIT* Sent to quickly.

Yes, and the Eisley cantina scene is going to feature 40 Greedos, with the ability to view it from the perspective of either one of 40 blaster bolts that miss Han.

Well that will be better then having him try and do another set of "new" movies and completely rewrite his "Approved" timeline again..

I read that too, and am excited for it. Not just that, but the format in general. it won't just be SW that gets re-released, but LOTR, Indy, etc. Since the technology is to easily convert existing film and digital to the 3D format everything is fair game.
The fact that they already did the first 8 minutes of ANH makes it even cooler. I would love any excuse to see the OT in the theaters again. It is also cool that George remains at the top of his game in regards to cinema innovation.

Hurrah, I'll get to see Greedo shoot first in wonderful 3D!

Seriously though, this should be interseting... anyone else interested in seeing Brian Blessed blurt out "Gordon's alive!?" in a way only he can within the majesty of 3 dimentions?

What is wrong with Han shooting first . . . in the first place?
Eh? . . He's a Rogue no? Greedo's a scumbag yes?
Look, I'm a Rodian but I have no love for Greedo. I do however, have a love for 'sticking with the original'.
Han shot Greedo dead in cold blood, I for one have no issue with that . . fairplay I say, although technically it wasn't . .
