Thread: Do you guys want Concussion shot fixed?

Do you think it needs to be fixed or should it stay the same?


I'm of the opinion it needs to be fixed, you can solo far too many high-end mobs with a novice skill.And with the improved version, you can keep someone rooted forever.

I see your point and i might agree...have to think on it. But i do like keeping something in constant root lol.

from a PvE perspective....the fix will be great for places like the avatar and the DWB...for everything else....i'm /meh

I'd say no, becuase most of you all are considering it in regards to annother master prof. Smuggler alone is sub-par in combat even with a root, you'd be nothing more than an annoyance unless you where rooting in group PvP.

i want it fixed.. but i also want a root or even a cone root, and a kd *looks disapprovingly at Low blow*

I agree with Spiderhammer completely.


This new concussion is going to come in handy if you want to get away or make a statement with a droid bomb

I'm very much looking forward to concussion shot finally doing what it is supposed to do, it'll be a useful skill for both PvE and group-PvP (and even for a few specific moments in 1vs1 situations).

In a post CU world the new version is going to be so much more effective.

Sure, you should go out and solo all the krayt/gorax/gdks you can right now, but really, even without the unbreaking root its not hard to take these down with a small group, so I don't see it as a huge loss.

But the new shot will be much more effecting in soloing other things, such as higher end NPC missions (sith bases, terminal missons, etc), or POIs or such where right now your only action not to get overwhelemed by 4 or 5 NPCs is try to root and run out of range. With the new shot you'll have much more control of the situation.

But moreso, I see it as a big win in group PvE. Because in that same small group that will be taking out the krayts we can really do some serious crowd control elsewhere. We'll be able to take those roots to ranged creatures and npcs and be able to totally control bunkers/caves/missions or almost any sort. Run into the NS stronghold as an example and set up the damage dealers with one target at a time and it'll be clear sailing all the way to Min. Or put those kilinks in the geo caves down for the count and eliminate all their fireworks as you easily cut through one or two at a time.

Similar ramifications in PvP as well - although there we need to watch more closely what can break the spells.

And think of how fun it's going to be later on when we have BH's after us... NPC or players.


They start to attack, you plant a Concussion Shot on him... then leisurely pull out your speeder, hop on, wave and smile, and head off into the sunset while they are absolutely helpless to do anything.


Yeah, it's not gonna let us be solo gods in PvE anymore, and it'll make grinding solo a bit more challenging... but when your template is done and you don't need the xp, it'll kick butt for those quick getaways.

Aren't we unable to call a vehicle while in combat?
