A tough one! I would have to go with Solo here, not because of blasters though. Roberts and Solo woudn't duel, because Roberts would know that his sword would be no match for Solo's gun. Instead he would try to best him with a battle of wits. Unfortunately, Solo has the most amazing run of luck. If he pulled the "Iocane Powder" routine,..Solo would drink from the cup in front of him and somehow have a natural immunity. Roberts would also have this natural immunity....

Hmm I'd go withSolo on this one. Another question though, what if Solo had Chewbacca with him and Dread Pirate Robert had Fezzik in his corner. Interesting tag team action there...

I hate to break it to you. It would be the dread pirate roberts. Both these guys have increadible. Luck and should have died long ago. Lets look at through the sicilians eyes.

The dread pirate roberts in increadibly intelligent. So he would have known to use the weapons of the time to even the battlefield. So even if the pirate could not procure a weapon legally he would procure it illegally by clubbing a storm trooper.

Han solo on the other hand is a criminal, and being a criminal he will not follow any rules of conduct. So the pirate must know this, and act accordingly.

Han Solo is not a true stand up figher he is a runner. Infact most of the time you can find him doing just that running from a fight. This suggests a higher risk of flight ratio.

The dread pirate robertts on the other hand is aggressive confrontational, and an expert stalker. These two match and cancel out.

Lastly the Dread pirate roberts has a greater combat potential not only does he possess good strength and stamina, but skill and foresight aswell.

This being said this would not be a fair fight. Infact it would be a fight decided by ambush. The result would be the pirate roberts standing in the millenium falcon with his sword in one hand and a blaster in the other. As Han comes in disenbowl and head shot. After all he is a pirate expert in close quarters combat, plus as a pirate he is a two handed weapon user.

I think on the tag team the Roberts/Fezzik combo would win. Wook or not, there seems to be an inverse relationship with smarts and strength. Fezzik has that over Chewbacca.

Edit: Meaning that he is as dumb as a rock which gives him bonus over the average human being.
