Who else is?
I was told that the system would be a game and have some danger to it... not this "click a button its done, oh but it may break a week or two later" type danger.

yes and no...
there was too much hype, they could have erred in the opposite direction and made it too much of a time sink/burden.. to the point where no one would want to do it.
but on the other hand, i would have liked some choices or varity in the interface during slicing... maybe a wider variety of tools / parts that youd need as aftermarket addons, or so variance in outcom instead of a simple 3 staged click through system.

I would have liked a change - something that made slicicng a skill and not mindless clickies.

while slicing can be a pretty good way of life and a solid way to make a living for a smuggler, it shouldn't be the total focus. if our slicing game is compact and simple and QUICK, then it means that we'll have more time for when real SMUGGLING is one day introduced to actually SMUGGLE!
smuggel...smuggle....omg i cant spell today.

I was going to ask about the interface. Perhaps this is why the docs came out of the concept forum.
I'm pleased that slicing will work again and that I'll be able to put my M.Smuggler title back up, but I'm a little disappointed if it is only a matter of clicking menu items.
I'll hope that they are testing the numbers before putting the interface in the TC, but I'm not really expecting it.

How about Julius Ceaser?
Friends, Pirates, Smugglers! Lend me your Comms! I come to bury slicing not to praise it. The evil the skills do live after them the good is oft enterred with thier bones, So let it be with slicing. The noble Devs haft told you slicing was advantagous. If it where so it where a grevious fault and greviously haf slicing answered it.

I am curious to see if slicing will truley be different with different smugglers. If you have to total your 100 custom points, but really find a sweet spot between upping speed and damage to make the weapon actually much more effective. Slicing a n00bs gun for instance, you may want to sink the majority of your points into speed for him, or the legendary MBH on your server wants pure damage or something else thrown in the mix. e.g. will it be 50pts Damage, 40pts Speed, 10pts Acc or something like that for a truley custom weapon.

ideally, every customer will want something special for their way of fighting. but, int he end it is a computer program and limited by so many factors. sooner or later, that magic "sweet spot" will be found and there will be a handful of templates that work best for certain weapons.
but, since this is a MMORPG, the devs can make changes at will just to shake things up ![]()
